Recruiter/ Talent Acquisition Partner

About this Role – as our Corporate Recruiter supporting primarily the Canadian business, in addition to lending support to the US talent acquisition team, you thrive in an environment where you are responsible for the full end-to-end recruiting cycle. You are familiar with various federal and provincial laws relating to talent acquisition as well as have an appreciation for recruiting on both the east and west coasts of Canada. You are committed to making Talent Acquisition your career and have a natural ability to forge strong working relationships with your hiring managers.

Get Inspired by the Work You’ll Do

  • Manage the end-to-end recruiting cycle including sourcing, screening, coordinating interviews, managing customer and candidate expectations, extending offers through to onboarding for assigned business units
  • Work closely with hiring managers to determine individual needs and team fit; work closely with the Management team to actively source and vet candidates for vacancies
  • Create and post recruitment advertisements with local organizations as well as various online mediums, with a focus on diversity
  • Represent our organization at career fairs, hiring events, etc., and create long-term relationships with local colleges and universities
  • Familiarity with local student and graduate hiring practices, with a focus on intern programs and college graduate rotational programs
  • Assess the trends and effectiveness of events, engagement, and programming to demonstrate a ROI
  • Work in partnership with Sterling Talent Solutions to ensure all background checks are being submitted and conducted according to our requirements
  • Design and initiate digital video experiences for candidates in partnership with HireVue or other digital interviewing platforms
  • Coordinate with the Human Resources Business Partner for the onboarding and new hire orientations of all new associates of the SYNNEX team
  • Create and develop relationships with recruiting contacts in the community
  • Identify key recruiting sources (including offsite recruitment events, career posting sites, career fairs) that align best with our recruiting needs

Your passion is sparked by:

  • Bachelor’s degree plus three to four (3-4) years of experience working as a Recruiter/ Talent Partner in a fast-paced corporate environment; additional experience in a staffing or contract placement firm would be beneficial
  • Must have prior and proven experience recruiting candidates across Canada
  • Knowledge of US legislation relating to Talent Acquisition and prior experience supporting US recruitment a strong asset
  • Successful track record in matching/ sourcing candidates and persuasive selling style when negotiating with candidates
  • Working knowledge of Workday or similar ATS is preferred; preferred candidates will have exposure to Workday in a corporate environment
  • Good ability to actively engage candidates and quickly determine individual motivation, drive and desire to succeed
  • Highly responsive to incoming communication with the ability and drive to turnaround requests within a short period of time
  • Demonstrated cooperative and collaborative decision –making skills with a proven sense of urgency for goal achievement
  • Ability to act as a Business Partner to advise, collaborate and challenge hiring managers
  • Demonstrated ability to work within all Canadian legal guidelines, while maintaining a high level of productivity
