DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create and innovate compensation programs that meet the needs of our various functions, business areas, and our Recipe for Growth
- Act as a strategic business advisor providing consultative thought leadership to the human resources community and business leaders on pay decisions, pay guidelines, policy and guideline interpretation, and job evaluation including the design of creative solutions to specific compensation-related challenges.
- Oversee benchmarking, survey analysis, and analytics to elevate understanding of our competitiveness globally with a view toward evolving our compensation and benefits programs over time
- Provide consultation and thought partnership regarding Sales Compensation design and governance
- Develop key cross-functional partnerships across the organization
- Manage the annual bonus and merit process for all U.S. and build out global process. Provide guidance, support and direction to managers and other colleagues.
- Act as a strategic business advisor to senior business leaders and a partner to HR leaders, ensuring that our programs align with our business goals and support talent acquisition, retention, career development, mobility and our diversity initiatives.
- Provide senior management comprehensive reporting of competitive pay position versus marketplace; advise managers of compensation trends and anecdotal market intelligence.
- Manage and deepen partnerships with key vendors and external partners that will enrich our thinking and programs with industry insights and ensure that our programs remain competitive.
- Conduct ad-hoc analyses to evaluate and recommend pay adjustments to maintain internal equity and external competitiveness.
- Oversee company job architecture, including approving and benchmarking new job families and levels

- Experience designing and building compensation programs, job architecture, pay models and benchmarking approaches.

- Operational Excellence: Provide leadership on program/policy implementation, administration, communication and change management for base pay and variable pay. Ensures team members stay abreast of regulatory changes and business processes remaining  in compliance with applicable federal, state and local requirements (e.g., FLSA, 409a, pay equity, wage notices, etc.). Establish approach and consistency within the team on process documentation, cross-training and operational support structure. Ensure strong partnership with other cross-functional partners and alignment on ownership
- Team management and development: Encourages team growth through skill development, coaching and training, alignment in performance expectations and establishing a focus on networking. Fosters a culture that drives employee development and empowers an ownership/decision making mindset. Manages departmental budgets and expenses within corporate guidelines.
REQUIRED MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
- 10+ years broad-based compensation leadership experience required
- Experience in a large, complex publicly-traded organization preferred
- Compensation and Sales Compensation design experience with a sales team and operations (warehouse/drivers) strongly preferred
- Change management experience preferred
- Knowledge of Workday Advanced Compensation
- Experience evaluating, selecting and implementing global compensation tools.
- Well-versed in compensation regulations and practices across a global remit.
- Familiarity with compensation-related regulations and practices across different regions
- Proven organizational and communication skills to effectively address all levels within the organization.
- Effective project manager with ability to develop an overall project plan with clear deliverables and manage a project team.
- Demonstrated knowledge/experience with government regulations pertaining to Human Resources and broad- based compensation and recognition systems.
- Advanced analytical, consulting and influencing skills, with a track record of identifying issues and formulating solutions.
- Demonstrated experience with various HRIS and compensation systems
REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Finance, Business or related field
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- This position must be performed from the Global Support Center facility based in Houston, Texas.
- Travel may be required up to 20% to Sysco facilities or operating companies.Â
