About this role

HR Business Management is accountable for supporting the Head of HR and the HR Lead Team in defining and executing against its annual three-year strategic plan. As the firm grows in size, geography and products, the work of HR requires increased technology support to drive efficiencies, respond to firmwide priorities, and ensure the safekeeping of associate information.

The role will be accountable for:

  • Workday system administration for modules including security; recruiting and onboarding; absence management
  • Workday transactions in response to customer service tickets
  • Audit Workday transactions and reports to ensure data integrity and compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Develop and execute test scripts to support user acceptance testing
  • Perform basic Workday report writing

Role Summary

Conducts a broad range of human resource information system maintenance and administration activities. Responsible for the quality and completion of own work. May instruct or provide guidance to support staff on certain activities.


  • Maintains and administers the organization’s human resources information system, including coordinating module patches, bundles, upgrades, testing, documentation, and implementations. Analyzes data anomalies and takes action to preserve data integrity. Escalates complex or unusual issues to management.
  • Analyzes data flows to the organization’s financial systems, benefits vendors, payroll system, timekeeping system, and other related systems to ensure proper transfer and integration of data. Investigates error logs or rejected data transfers and resolves based on broad/varied experience. Implements process improvements or new system designs to better support human resource activities.
  • Executes system upgrades, patches, testing, and related tasks. Contributes to system requirements gathering.
  • Performs querying and data mining activities to support human resource analytics. Develops reports, dashboards, and statistics for management’s use.
  • Monitors software vendor performance and provides input on service gaps. May contribute to data quality control audits, as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • 2+ years of total relevant work experience

Preferred qualifications  

  • Experience with Workday system administration
  • Experience with the Agile methodology and requirements tools such as Rally

FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role.
