This is a vital role within the People Solutions function — a dynamic team within Takeda Business Solutions. The EMEA/USA Payroll Specialist will be responsible for the day to day processing of assigned payrolls (International EMEA/US). Completing payroll changes, on and off boarding, banking requirements for salary and tax payments and month end reconciliations together with time and attendance administration. Also ensuring timely query resolution and providing any additional project work support when required.
The role will be partnering with HR/Finance, external and Internal agencies to ensure the accurate and timely execution of payroll operations
Accelerate value & make an impact by:

Ensure payrolls are processed accurately, timely and in accordance with country local requirements

Ensure all equity transactions are captured and processed within the pay periods

Complete month end payroll activities

Ensure that monthly and yearly local tax filings, payments and compliance requirements are met

Ensure sufficient controls are in place and implemented to capture changes month on month and any differences are reconciled and explained

Schedule, facilitate and participate in payroll-related meetings and presentations
-
Provide timely and accurate reporting to internal and external agencies, e.g. Revenue, etc.

Prepare employee and payroll tax payments

Create and maintain control documentation, process flows and procedures in line with SOX requirements

Work with other HR functions to ensure consistent and accurate flow of information

Work with internal and external audit to ensure the integrity of the payroll information
-
Work with external providers/global team regarding specific payroll treatment for employees e.g. expatriate, international assignments & equity

Administration support of global shadow payroll

Ensure a consistent focus and involvement in driving efficiencies and process improvements

Administration of time and attendance system

Serves as the point of contact for all payroll related Queries and concerns

Reports monthly payroll reporting packs for the region

Records various payroll statistics for KPI/SLA reporting
Required qualifications:
-
At least 1-year experience in similar role with payroll experience

Knowledge and application of payroll principles, concepts and industry practices and standards.

Payroll certification will be an asset

Understanding of Equity and Mobility programs

HR operations or shared services environment or HR Functional experience preferred (i.e. HRIS, Compensation, Benefits, Staffing, HR Service Center, etc.).

Knowledge of HR policies and procedures

Knowledge of Workday desirable

Strong excel skills.

Fluent in English Language
