Recruitment Marketing and Employment Brand at Target is an integral part of our Talent Acquisition Group, helping engage millions of current and future Team Members annually. This dynamic team is comprised of copywriters, designers, media strategists, business experts and technologists who are charged with bringing our employer brand and powerful talent attraction campaigns to life. We leverage our careers site, social, email, search, digital and traditional media, events, and more to help talent discover a sense of purpose while helping Target achieve our hiring goals and keep our $100-billion business thriving. As the Sr. Business Partner Employment Brand – Candidate Experience, you’ll shape and influence the strategy and delivery of Target’s early candidate journey moments—mapping touchpoints and optimizing engagement across our careers site, candidate chatbot, and CRM platforms. You’ll manage careers site content, functionality, and performance, while partnering closely with external agency, recruitment marketing and Workday product teams to ensure alignment and personalization across the candidate experience. Your expertise in marketing and product management will enable you to translate insights into data-driven strategies that elevate Target’s employer brand and increase organic applicant flow. These strategies will reduce reliance on paid media and maximize the impact and ROI of our candidate engagement solution.
As a Sr. Business Partner Employment Brand – Candidate Experience, will cover the following responsibilities:
  • Candidate Engagement Strategy: Support a seamless and compelling end-to-end candidate journey by partnering with and influencing cross-functional teams, agency collaborators, and Target’s Workday product team. Provide direct oversight and optimization of early-stage candidate touchpoints—particularly across external platforms such as the Target Careers Site—ensuring content, functionality, and user experience are aligned to attract, inform, and convert top talent effectively and efficiently.
  • External Careers Site Product Management: Own and evolve the product strategy and roadmap for Target’s Careers Site (https://corporate.target.com/careers), ensuring a seamless, brand-aligned, and conversion-optimized user experience. Lead the prioritization and implementation of feature and functionality enhancements, leveraging research and cross-functional input to drive continuous improvement. Oversee content management for the Careers Site by collaborating with internal partners to guide, curate and publish compelling evergreen and timely content that aligns with Target’s employer brand and platform standards. Partner closely with the Employer Brand Team to amplify authentic storytelling and support strategic initiatives that enhance the candidate experience and brand perception.
  • Careers AI Assistant Project Management: Support the strategy and lifecycle for Target’s candidate chatbot, partnering with HR technology and engineering teams to collaborate on the product roadmap, influence future enhancements, and drive process automation. Maintain and evolve the chatbot’s knowledge library to ensure accurate, brand-aligned, and engaging candidate interactions that reflect candidate expectations and Target’s hiring experience. Oversee performance analytics and reporting to monitor effectiveness, identify opportunities for optimization, and inform data-driven product decisions.
  • CRM Strategy & Activation: Design and implement a comprehensive CRM (Candidate Relationship Management) email marketing strategy that capitalizes on key moments across the candidate journey to drive organic application growth and improve hire conversion. Ensure personalized, brand-consistent messaging by activating CRM campaigns within existing talent communities. Collaborate with recruiting and design partners to deliver enhanced templates and assets, while leading a self-directed engagement strategy to grow, nurture, and convert talent community membership.
  • Partnerships & Marketing Consultation: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal clients and external partners, consulting on marketing best practices. Collaborate closely with recruitment teams to translate hiring objectives into effective engagement strategies, while supporting and influencing cross-functional efforts to select, integrate and scale candidate experience technologies that personalize and streamline the path to conversion.
  • Analytics & Reporting: Partner with Target’s People Analytics & Insights team as well as agency partners to support the development and evolution of reporting dashboards and analytics platforms that surface actionable insights across candidate experience touchpoints. Collaborate on the delivery of regular reporting routines for internal clients and senior leadership, translating complex data into clear, strategic narratives. Contribute to performance measurement efforts aligned with talent acquisition goals, identifying opportunities for optimization and future data-informed initiatives.
About You:
  • 4+ years of marketing, product management and/or media strategy experience; marketing experience within Talent Acquisition or HR, a huge plus
  • Ability to develop creative solutions to complex business challenges
  • Comfortable with understanding and synthesizing metrics and KPIs into insights and strategies
  • Proficiency in leading presentations with excellent verbal and written communications
  • Partnership and solution-oriented; strong collaborator
  • Working knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint and Word as well as other equivalent programs
  • Highly organized and able to multi-task with competing priorities
  • Four-year college degree or equivalent experience
This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target’s needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member’s core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day.
