About the Role
Teranet is currently seeking an experienced Contract Workday Lead to cover a Maternity leave. You will act as a primary lead for day-to-day operations of the Workday platform and to support the development of the Workday roadmap. You will be responsible for managing ongoing Workday projects, managing roadmap items with various business stakeholders, supporting requests for new enhancements and tasks as assigned that enable Workday to drive business alignment and maximize organizational and business performance. (50% of time allocated)
The Workday lead will also have a working knowledge of the existing modules including: HCM, Absence, Payroll, Finance, Recruiting, Performance, Learning and Adaptive. You will be responsible to support system configuration, security administration, reporting, and dashboards across the various modules in the system (50% of time allocated). Â
What You’ll Be DoingÂ

You will be the primary point of contact for the day-to-day operations of the Workday platform and to support the configuration of new Workday enhancements and deployment of new functionality.

Coordinate, lead, and implement Workday releases by effectively collaborating with partners and stakeholders in IT, HR, Finance, and vendors throughout the lifecycle of a release or project.

Conduct regular meetings with respective stakeholders to review Jira backlog and plan internal releases while ensuring team members follow the change management practices as outlined by the IT department

Partner with business partners to roll out new functionality and modules to promote business transformation.

Provide support to the Workday team members on any issues, new enhancement requests and any other inquiries for the Workday platform (HCM, Financials, Adaptive).

Coach and mentor team members on solution design, testing plans and impact analysis related to new Workday feature deployments.

Host Workday Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings to walk stakeholders through the planned production changes for the given week, ensure that no changes conflict or impact user experience negatively

Review Workday community to learn about newly anticipated features from Workday and keep pace with their innovation

Research, troubleshoot, and resolve production and integration issues in a timely manner. Support resolution of issues escalated; manage incidents, track ticket status

Monitor, assess, and report on Workday health-check, system availability, and security audits. Monitor and report on Workday license usage and compliance

Create, maintain, and manage business processes as defined in the Workday

Create custom reports and support end-users with creating complex reports and resolving issues with existing reports
About You
-
Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or equivalent
-
Minimum of 3 years of practical Workday experience outlined above – including the design, configuration and support of various functional areas including: HCM, Financials and Adaptive.

Agile Project Management experience is preferred (Agile Certification is desired)

Experience with Workday Security Administration is required

Experience with Workday custom reports and dashboard development

Experience in writing documents and executing requirements, design, development, and testing

Working knowledge of software development life cycle activities (i.e., requirements, analysis, design, construction, testing, and deployment)

Experience with Jira Project Management Software is an asset

Experience with ServiceNow ITSM software is an asset
