This position will assist in developing, implementing and supporting benefits that are market competitive and encourage our workforce to be wise with money and live balanced and generous lives.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Understand the competitive landscape and emerging trends to ensure our overall benefit package aligns with our talent strategy and is meaningful to our workforce.
- Lead or participate in a variety of benefit initiatives which could include competitiveness analysis, program design, RFPs, acquisition or vendor implementation, workforce communication or other initiatives that support Thrivent’s strategy.
- Manage short- and long-term financial impact to Thrivent and our workforce through plan design, proactive program oversight and shared accountability.
- Act as a partner and consultant on health & welfare and retirement benefit plans and programs, managing vendor relationships and responding to workforce benefit escalations as needed.
- Help create a culture of health and wellbeing.
- Stay current with legislative and regulatory requirements and ensure our benefit plans are administered according to the plan documents and in compliance with legislative requirements.
- Maintain close working relationships with HR team members, internal legal counsel, finance partners, and communications staff.
Required
- 5-10 years of health and welfare and retirement benefits experience
- Bachelors degree or equivalent, advanced degree preferred
Preferred
- Highly organized, proactive and team player
- Highly collaborative and effective at influencing without authority
- Strong project management and communication skills
- Analytical, financial acumen and understanding of benefits budgeting and expense requirements
- Experience with Workday
- CEBS certification
