Job Description Summary
Reporting to the Vice President, Human Resources, the Benefits Analyst is responsible for coordinating all aspects of the benefit programs offered to Associates through the Peoplefirst Benefit Program., which includes organizations such as Sporting Kansas City and Loch Lloyd Country Club.
This is an onsite role at our office in Leawood, KS.
Job Description
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Partner and consult with the benefits cabinet and ownership in administering the various benefit programs, including life insurance, disability insurance, FSA, HSA, 401(k), medical, dental, vision and various other programs.

Evaluate and coordinate annual renewal options and manage the Open Enrollment administration.

Partner closely with the Payroll Administrator to ensure accurate benefit deductions and payments are reflected each pay period.

Coordinate and deliver monthly New Hire Benefits Orientation.

Identify new government requirements that impact the benefits plans offered to members, i.e. Affordable Care Act (ACA), the Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act (GINA), Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA).

Review and publish annual summary plan descriptions.

Manage the eligibility file feed for our wellness provider on a monthly basis.

Provide guidance and support for Associate questions related to the benefit programs.

Responsible for auditing HRIS benefit data to carrier records.

Responsible for Administration of the 401(k) Savings Plan, including updating associate deferral and loan elections, assisting in annual audits, bi-weekly funding, and being the primary point of contact for associate questions related to the plan.

Participate in and provide expertise for special projects and other responsibilities as needed.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
-
Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
-
At least five (5) years' experience working with a company’s Health, Dental, Vision and 401k Benefits Program.

Experience with analytical tools (i.e. spreadsheets, word processing and databases).

Ability to clearly communicate information through an appropriate medium.

Experience with self-insured plans preferred.

Workday experience is a plus.
