Job Description Summary

The Transaction Accountant is responsible for accounting transactions, including but not limited to entering supplier invoices, recording deposits in Workday, reconciling statements and preparing account reconciliations.

Essential Functions
  • Enter supplier invoices into Workday.

  • Print supplier checks.

  • Maintain all accounts payable files.

  • Research and solve payment discrepancies.

  • Verify credit card transactions and credits.

  • Reconcile vendor statements and bank statements monthly.

  • Prepare bank deposits and apply customer payments in Workday.

  • Respond to all customer and vendor inquiries on a timely basis.

  • As required, assist in creating various accounting reports that display overall business performance and financial position.

  • Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.

  • Practice the highest level of confidentiality at all times.

  • Represent TIFEC and its related enterprises in a professional manner at all times.

  • Perform other related tasks as assigned.

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or other related field preferred.

  • Minimum of two (2) years of accounting experience.

  • Proficient in Financial/Accounting software.  Workday experience a plus.

  • Strong understanding of business and accounting principles.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

  • Experience in other Microsoft Suite of applications, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Calendar a plus.
