We are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer I who is passionate about working in a collaborative environment and has the ambition to be a driver for success.


Skills and Qualifications (What We’re Looking For):

Experience with the following technologies is beneficial. The following non-exhaustive list of qualifications are not required but will be advantageous in your consideration as a candidate:

  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming fundamentals

  • Experience with applicable object-oriented programming languages (e.g. Java, C#, C++)

  • Experience with writing unit and integration tests for Java/JavaScript applications

  • Experience with QA testing web applications

  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Google Cloud)

  • Experience with relational databases (e.g. Postgres, MySQL)

  • Experience with Agile/Scrum/iterative software development methodologies

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Proven ability to work cross functionally in a highly collaborative environment

  •  Ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously

  • Ability to interact and collaborate effectively with clients and co-workers in a positive manner that engenders confidence and trust

  •  Good problem solver with ability to consider alternative and diverse perspectives


Responsibilities (What You’ll Do):

Our internal development team of ~15 employees is made up of talented software engineers, automation engineers, and product managers. Together, we create and maintain proprietary software to help TopBloc’s 300+ consultants in their everyday tasks. 

As a QA engineer, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Designing and creating automated tests to identify potential software problems

  • Analyzing the root cause of bugs and errors found during tests 

  • Documenting the results of tests for the software development team

  • Recommending software improvements to enhance user experience

  • Maintaining updated knowledge of industry best practices and advancements

  • Provide approval for software release

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
