The HR Specialist II – Workday HRIS supports one or more centers of excellence within the Human Resources Department. This HR Specialist is responsible for HRIS transactional & configuration support in Workday and assisting associates with inquiries.
Prior Experience with Workday configuration required.
Location: Indianapolis, Indiana; or locations listed with close proximity to a major airport. Position is Hybrid (a mix of remote & in-office, as well as any necessary business travel, including to our corporate office in Indianapolis).

Responsibilities
- Provide all HR teams & end users with Workday technical support, resolve technical issues and configurations for Workday
- Assist with Workday configuration, questions, testing, upgrading and maintenance
- Workday report writing
- Workday Business Process system configuration and security
- Troubleshooting, performing root cause analysis, and providing technical support on Workday-related issues
- Ensure Workday system accessibility and timely resolution of HRIS issues.
- Evaluating solution effectiveness and making improvements to ensure systems meet the needs of the organization.
- Coordinate with IT and other areas to ensure system accessibility and timely resolution of HRIS issues.
- Process employees’ queries and respond in a timely manner
- Support efforts around DEI, Associate Value Proposition, and culture.
- Provide reporting, metrics or presentations as assigned.
- Assist with achieving department goals.
- Answer associate's questions pending the area of focus for the position.
- Identify and understand issues, problems, and opportunities. Use effective approaches for choosing appropriate action or resolution.
- Works on a variety of projects as assigned.
- All other duties as assigned.
Skills and Experience
- Experience with Workday configuration & reporting required
- Must have Workday report writing and development experience
- Thorough understanding of HR processes and policies
- Thorough knowledge of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Experience working in one or more HR disciplines
- Effective organizational and strong interpersonal skills including written and verbal communication skills required.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with an acute attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects.
- Occasional travel required
Education and Qualifications
- Associate degree, or equivalent work experience.
- 2+ years of experience required with Workday system configuration, report writing, administration and maintenance in several of the following Workday modules: Core HCM, Compensation, Talent Management, Time Tracking, Benefits, Learning and Recruiting
