Senior Human Resource Solutions Analyst

The Lead HR Solutions Analyst is responsible for providing strategic planning of functional support to the global HRBC and Benefits team by ensuring all applicable stateside and overseas benefits and absence policies, programs, and HRBC processes are configured into all UMGC HR Systems and other interfaced systems outside of HR within and outside of UMGC.  For example, UMGC Workday, PeopleSoft, FPMS, SIS, SoM SPS Workday, and other vendor systems.  Ensures that all projects and work is prioritized and coordinated across applicable internal and external resources to meet deadlines.  This position will lead the support for HRBC & Benefit integrations, manage research and resolution of all data issues, and recommend and lead Release testing and development of training materials for Workday benefit and HRBC administration and job aids. This position will also be responsible for managing, training and developing internal Benefits & HRBC teams' knowledge and technical skills relative to the PeopleSoft and Workday usage, improving the holistic Workday system through collaboration with internal and external partners, conducting gap analysis of existing processes, and seeking continuous improvement of functionality.

Primary Duties:

  • Under the direction of the Director, Global HR Services and Benefits conducts thorough review and analysis of the current business processes to identify areas for improvement and streamlining to ensure the delivery of high-quality HR services to key stakeholders and customers.  Develops requirements and manages approved projects for implementation.
  • Support of day- to-day global HRBC and benefit teams' administration of health, retirement, absence management, and personnel action processing, through an ongoing review of system configuration, investigation of system issues, and development and maintenance of integration support.
  • Identifies and researches participant issues and/or system defects with minimal supervision. Analyzes issues and looks for patterns to determine if issues are participant specific, global/systematic, process or training related. Proposes solutions to address issues identified.
  • Develops Key Performance Measures for the HRBC and Benefits Steams, develops methods for obtaining and reporting the key performance metrics on a regular basis.
  • Partner closely with the Director of Global HR Services and Benefits and the AVP, Compensation, Benefits & HRIS while leading efforts to design, test and implement system configuration, ensuring awareness of incidents and project statuses, particularly those that impact immediate operations or changes to administrative procedures.

Required Education and Experience:

  • 4-year college degree with 5 to 7 years

Type of Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 (five) or more years of HR experience required to include thorough knowledge of Benefits, HR administration and HR Systems

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Proven ability to manage critical projects concurrently and through to successful completion.  Demonstrated experience developing HR communications or outreach campaigns. Ability to accurately interpret a variety of procedures and policies under limited supervision. Ability to analyze data and transactional processing flows in order to identify trends and improve data related processes.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • 4-year college degree with 5 to 7 years

Type of Experience:

  • Preferred candidates will also have of 3 (three) years of Higher Education experience
