Job Description Summary:
UCAR is excited to announce the job opening for The HRIS Analyst, within the Human Resources (HR) Department. This position will ensure the department’s success by providing timely support and maintenance of the Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) system. Additionally, the HRIS Analyst’s direct support of Talent Acquisition and Total Rewards business process, and overall department needs will enable the HR team to utilize technology to better serve our customers as well as to ensure HR compliance.

What You Will Do
Here is a summary of what one would expect to be generally responsible for in this role.
HCM Support and Maintenance
-
Serve as the HRIS partner supporting designated HCM areas in Workday, such as Core HR, Benefits, Talent, Advanced Compensation, etc.

Provide consultation to HR Strategic Partners and HR COEs, building domain knowledge, gathering requirements, providing solutions and impact analysis.

Serve as subject matter expert on current and upcoming Workday capabilities.

Evaluate releases and functionality to identify opportunities to improve and optimize the use of Workday.

Configure, design, test, validate, document, analyze, modify, and implement Business Process changes in Workday based on and related to user or system design specifications

Assist in testing of integrations, security, and annual events.

Maintain master data values in Workday (ex: Job Profile, Job Family, Job Group, Roles, Custom Organization Types, Positions, Locations).

Serve as an escalation resource for HRIS issues.

Provide input and knowledge sharing with Workday Team Lead, Workday Team Members, and clients as appropriate.

Participate in scheduled and ad hoc training to improve policy and process acumen.

Who We'd Love To Join Our Team
Successful candidates will ensure their application materials speak to the following criteria:
Education & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.Â

3+ years of experience with the administration, development, and configuration of Workday,Â
-
-or- an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Workday HCM experience or training.
-
(Preferred) HR functional and system experience.Â
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
-
Understanding of HR operations and experience in employee data management.
-
Knowledge of all Workday HR modules, including but not limited to Recruiting and Onboarding, HCM, Benefits, Time and Absence, Performance Management, and Advance Compensation.

Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with HR clients, cross-functional colleagues, and IT.

Ability to accurately collect information to understand and assess the client's needs and situation.

Strong attention to detail.
-
Ability to prioritize workload and provide timely follow-up and resolution.
-
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects.
