Summary of Job Duties:

The Change Management Specialist will serve as a member of the Student Information System team in Enrollment Services. The focus of this position is to prepare the varying stakeholder groups at the University of Arkansas (faculty, staff, and students) for the implementation of Workday Student. This position will develop high-quality communications, trainings, and support documentation to assist the campus community in using their student information system. Additional responsibilities will include interacting with students, faculty, and staff in a professional manner and responding to their questions and concerns. During implementation, this position will be involved in assisting with the configuration of some aspects of system functionality.

This position must work harmoniously with others and function well as part of a team.

Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors’ degree in a related field from an accredited institution of higher education

  • Experience in Higher Education

  • Experience with the creation of communication materials including videos, infographics, and newsletters

  • Substantial teaching or training experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters’ degree in a related discipline from an accredited institution of higher education

  • Understanding of UAConnect, Workday or other student information systems

  • Experience implementing a major software or change in a professional setting

  • Familiarity with University of Arkansas’ Fayetteville campus and key stakeholders

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud or other creative software

  • Understanding of Sharepoint, Blackboard, and a variety of other educational tools

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of adult learning theories

  • Knowledge of student information system functions

  • Ability to adapt quickly to project needs

  • Ability to be organized and think analytically

  • Knowledge of creative software and the creation of informative materials

  • Strong communication skills (written, oral, and listening) with the ability to present effectively to large and small audiences

  • Ability to use the most effective communication vehicles for each stakeholder group

  • Skills in documenting changes to roles, responsibilities, and ways of working for different stakeholder groups

  • Ability to assist with assessments and surveys to identify impacts, watch areas, and risks

  • Ability to deliver targeted communications and engagement

  • Ability to develop materials which are timely, relevant, and institution specific

  • Ability to serve as an optimist champion for the project while remaining accessible for candid feedback
