Job Description Summary:

The position will perform and support activities to recruit patients into clinical trials. Activities would include identifying potential patients, contacting patients and educating potential participants about the trial and its requirements.

Required Qualifications

Education: Associates degree or relevant experience may substitute on a year for year basis

Work Experience:

  • 2 years of related work experience

  • Experience with Microsoft Suite

  • Experience in a customer service setting

  • Exceptional verbal and oral communication as evidenced by application material

Preferred Qualifications

Education/Certificates: Human Subjects Research CITI training

Work Experience:

  • Experience in clinical trials subject recruitment

  • Experience with Workday

​Skills:

  • Familiar with the Guidelines for Clinical Practice (GPC)

  • Bilingual-Spanish

  • Ability to analyze and revise operating practices to improve efficiency

  • Excellent time management and multitasking skills

  • Able to maintain a professional appearance and manner

  • Able to work in an environment with constant interruptions

  • Able to work well with all levels of management, staff, as well as a diverse group of constituents effectively and cordially

Job Duties Outlined

  • Work with HERON and BPA databases to identify potential patients for studies

  • Work with social media and other advertisements to recruit patients

  • Contact potential clinical trial patients

  • Educate patients about the studies and their potential involvement 

  • Enter data efficiently, timely and correctly

  • Consent clinical trial patients to allow them to be contacted for future studies

  • Respond to questions and requests for information

  • Maintain office supplies by checking inventory and ordering items

  • Ensuring deadlines are met, and work is completed correctly

  • Edit and update various Excel and Word documents 

  • Maintain confidential records 

  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

Compensation Statement:

The pay range listed for this position is determined by our compensation program using market data and salary benchmarking. A combination of factors is considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, education, experience and training, qualifications relative to the requirements of the position, and funding. At the University of Kansas Medical Center, a reasonable estimate for the starting pay range will be the minimum to midpoint of the posted range, taking into account the combination of factors listed above.
