The Division of Financial Affairs has an exciting opportunity for a Director, Workday HCM.
Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for leading and optimizing Workday Human Capital Management functions to support strategic initiatives. The primary focus will be on maximizing the application's potential and aligning it with our business processes.

Develop and maintain a multi-year roadmap of new functionality, ensuring the continuous improvement of Workday systems. Support biannual system upgrades and identify additional features to be incorporated into the roadmap.

Oversee the Workday HR functional team, ensuring that service operations consistently meet or exceed stated Service Level Agreements and Operational Level Agreements.

Analyze existing business processes, conduct benchmark gap analysis, and contribute to the design and transformation of workflows. Utilize technical expertise and deep understanding of Workday to optimize processes and enhance system performance. Recommend functionalities that align with departmental goals.

Lead and supervise projects and activities aimed at implementing best practices, driving business results, and fostering growth. Guide the Workday HR functional and technical teams in implementing automation solutions where applicable.

Collect and document business functional requirements. Collaborate with technical teams, including configuration, security, integrations, and report writers, to develop solutions that meet those requirements. Lead testing efforts to ensure that all Workday HCM functionalities deployed meet business requirements.

Identify change management needs to minimize user impact and enhance their experience. Provide support to change and training functions to align them with business needs.

Work closely with senior leaders to prioritize projects, ensuring the timely completion of deliverables and milestones. Act as the liaison between the business and technical teams, facilitating effective communication and alignment.

Possess a comprehensive understanding of HCM data and provide insights into HCM reporting and analytics. Assist functional areas with utilizing Business Intelligence tools and creating meaningful reports.

Demonstrate expertise in Workday Security and collaborate with the security team to architect security roles that adhere to organizational policies and framework. Support periodic access reviews of HCM roles to meet audit requirements.
Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Human Resources or related field; Master's degree preferred.

Minimum 7 years of relevant work experience; 5+ years experience in leading and optimizing Workday HCM/HRIS functions, with a strong understanding of business processes and technology capabilities. Any relevant education, certifications and/or work experience may be considered.

In-depth knowledge of Workday system and its modules, with a track record of leveraging technical expertise to improve processes and drive system performance.

Proven experience in project management and leading cross-functional teams of large organizations.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct gap analysis and provide innovative solutions.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Change management experience, including driving user adoption and ensuring a positive user experience.

Familiarity with HCM reporting and analytics, as well as Business Intelligence tools.

Knowledge of security policies and framework, with the ability to architect and review security roles.

Relevant certifications in Workday HCM/HRIS are highly desirable.
