Job Description

The Executive Operations Specialist will support the Coordinator of Executive Operations at the Honors College.  This position will be responsible for processing and reconciling department purchases, travel data, data management, and may also act as the first point of contact in the Honors College office when necessary. In addition, this position will also help with student support and event planning. 

Responsibilities

  • Assist with budget tracking and financial reporting 

  • Process invoices, reimbursements, and purchase requests

  • Maintain records of expenses and financial documents

  • Respond to student inquiries and provide general guidance 

  • Assist with event planning and student engagement

  • Reserving venues, ordering supplies, event registration management

  • Managing communication (emails, newsletters, social media updates)

  • Preparing reports and presentations as needed 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree and two years of related work experience. 

  • Candidate must have the ability to work independently and collaboratively, communicate effectively in written and oral forms, and accomplish goals within a range of established guidelines.

  • Candidate must have the ability to take a problem-solving, student-first approach to working with a diverse undergraduate student population.

  • Candidate must have strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel, and other relevant software (e.g., PeopleSoft, DocuSign, Canvas).

  • Candidate must have strong time management and organizational skills.

  • Candidate must be able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines with minimal supervision. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Availability to work occasional evenings and weekends 

  • Knowledge of/experience in honors education  

  • Knowledge or experience with Workday

  • Experience processing financial transactions

Schedule

Expected hours to work per week: 20
M-F 9AM – 1PM (Schedule may adjust periodically based on business needs, holidays, events, etc.)
