This position is being offered as part-time or full-time to provide temporary human resources and administrative support to the College of Education, Deans Office, and Business Services Office. We are offering a remote/hybrid working experience with 1-2 days in the office and the remaining days remote. The tentative end date is March 31, 2023, with the potential to extend if needed.


  • Provide transactional Workday support -Coordinate with managers to initiate job postings and onboarding for new staff and student employees -Process background checks and I-9 transactions, adhering to federal and state statutes and university policy.

  • Provide administrative support to the Business Services department as needed -Maintain confidential employee files and handle sensitive information with discretion -Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and one year of experience at the Administrative Assistant level, OR high school graduation or GED, and three years of clerical experience. Accuracy and attention to detail -Critical thinking/problem-solving skills -Regular and punctual attendance at work -Must be authorized to work in the US.

Experience processing Workday transactions -Human Resource experience

Hourly Rate

$20.00 + depending on qualifications

Work Shift

  • The work schedule is from 8 to 5

  • Please note, the supervisor will discuss the following options with the candidate: Part-time (20+hours/week) option is open to flexible work between the hours of 8 am-5 pm, Full-time (40 hours/week) option is standard between 8 am-5 pm

The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
