Provides Basic to complex temporary support for any given department within the University at any given time in diverse job titles. Provides specific skills and experience to support University departments. Answers multi-line telephone system and fields questions. Check, collect and distribute campus mail. Provides general support to staff, faculty, and visitors.
Performs general office functions – filing, copying, faxing sorting. Experience maintaining calendars and schedules for multiple administrators, composing and/or editing correspondence. Working with databases, and working with confidential information. Working with Word, Excel and Outlook programs.
High School graduation or GED. An equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate. Experience with basic to advanced administrative work. Experience multi-tasking. Experience with detail-oriented procedures. Experience following instructions. Experience providing excellent customer service. Experience working independently and as a team member. Must have interpersonal skills. Must be dependable, reliable, responsible, motivated, resourceful and versatile. Must have the required education, skills and experience in order to perform the specific temporary assignment successfully. Regular and punctual attendance a must. Professional demeanor.
Two years or more of experience performing the specific skill or experience of the temporary assignment. Bachelor’s degree. Proficient experience with Workday (Cloud Enterprise Resource Planning – ERP) Software, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, Access and Outlook applications. Experience with Web browsers. Capable of working in a fast-paced and changing work environment. Demonstrated ability to work with confidential documents and maintain confidentiality. Excellent attention to detail. Professional demeanor.
$15.00+ depending on qualifications.
May work around standard office conditions. Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation. Use of manual dexterity. Climbing of stairs. Lifting and moving.
The work hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Candidates must be flexible to work varied hours as indicated by job assignments.

Retirement Plan Eligibility:
The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
