Reporting to the Payroll Supervisor, the Payroll Administrator will play a key role in developing and executing audits for payroll compliance and participate in payroll transitions for acquisitions. The Payroll Administrator will also serve as the key liaison in support of our District Managers to train, educate, and assist on payroll matters.

Location: Remote

Salary range: $57,000-62,000

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

  • Developing and executing new audits for payroll compliance
  • Act as liaison for District Managers including but not limited to educating on proper procedures, how to edit time tracking and providing 1:1 training as needed
  • Plays a key role in acquisition payroll transitions
  • Run and disburse operations audit report 3x per week and make necessary manual timecard corrections
  • Applying for new state/local tax accounts and monitoring regulatory changes as they relate to payroll
  • Run HSA deductions report after each pay period – provide to accounting
  • Process biweekly payroll and additional weekly off cycle payrolls
  • Perform compliance for unclaimed property payroll checks
  • Assist in maintaining terminations for all garnishments
  • Research lost checks and place stop payments
  • Monitor high volume email inbox
  • Handle all ACH returns and NOCs
  • Assist with Testing for any new earning/deduction codes
  • Run/sort/edit separate biweekly labor reports
  • Coordinate and interact with federal and state agencies on issues pertaining to employee compensation and deductions
  • Provide customer service by addressing all payroll related questions
  • Perform other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of accounting practices and procedures
  • Client Focused with excellent Customer Service Skills
  • Strong time management, prioritization, and ability to work under tight deadlines.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • 4+ years of progressive payroll experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience with US multi-state/multi-tax payrolls
  • Experience with Workday HR/Payroll platform preferred
  • CPP Payroll Certification preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing while and working on a computer
