You will use ideation and experimentation methods, and provide strategic guidance to internal clients with regard to people, technology and enabling or refining major business processes. In this role, you will:

  • Provide strategic and cost-effective solution alternatives, with IT delivery estimates, delivery strategy, and cost benefits to solve business problems
  • Strategically advise internal business partners on how technology, education and process innovation can help meet their business goals – helping them figure out which products should be adopted and/or enhanced to drive their strategy forward
  • Create blueprint capabilities for software, middleware and hardware deliverables
  • Defines complex problems authoritatively, using research (market, competitive, and consultant), Design Thinking, Lean techniques, System Architecture guidelines, and other techniques as necessary
  • Be involved in active consultations with technology partners (Solutions Architects Tech Leads, IT Delivery Managers) related to emerging technology and implementation strategies
  • Act as an advocate for change for IT and HR to introduce new technologies and processes to shape the business strategy
  • Influence the broad organization to gain maturity in product centric and portfolio planning, IT and value metrics, measurement of metrics aligned to product, owner alignment, capability oriented thinking etc. by demonstrating knowledge of existing technology solutions and options that are already provided to our clients and the research that needs to be done to find new options
  • Own and handle a capability landscape for one or more lines of business and its product owners as the business and the industry evolves
  • Facilitate reciprocal discussions to define experimentation, execution strategies, cost, and resource requirements
  • Develop deep knowledge of the business area(s) supported and assist the business in driving out their 3—5 year technology plan
  • Develop broad and deep understanding of the competitive landscape, corporate business unit strategies, and vendor products available in the marketplace to provide context for decision-making
  • Provide experienced IT project management to build world-class strategies for a wide variety of business and IT goals by leading program-level initiatives

What it takes:

  • Prior Workday implementation experience
  • An undergraduate degree required. Master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum eight years technology industry/field experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile/Lean software development principals and the application of such.
  • Strong written, oral and presentation communication skills.
  • Outstanding conceptual, analysis, and problem solving skills.
  • Proven experience in using data (both quantitative and qualitative) analysis techniques to inform recommendations.
  • Proven ability to direct a team and program level initiatives to success.

Future of Work

During the pandemic, we transitioned to a work from home model for the majority of our crew and we continue to interview, hire, and on-board future crew remotely.

As we have developed the path forward, we have taken a thoughtful approach that both maximizes the advantages of working remotely and the many benefits of coming together and collaborating in a shared workspace. We believe that in-person interactions among our crew are important for preserving our unique culture and advantageous for the personal development of our crew.

When our Crew return to the office, many will work in our hybrid model. A smaller proportion of our crew will operate in the Work from Home work model (for example, field sales crew); or in the Work from Office model (for example, portfolio managers).
