This role is a key part of our team of technology professionals driving technical programs that deliver significant business value to Varian (a Siemens Healthineers Company).

We are looking to hire an Absence and Time Tracking Consultant who will work on project teams as an individual contributor through various phases of a Workday implementation projects and support

The role partners with internal stakeholders to develop, design, build and launch technology solutions, and is responsible for the end-to-end quality of what is released. This position interacts with people in both business and technical roles to create specifications and resolve issues with an eye toward continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in full-cycle and phased implementation projects within the Workday Time tracking and Absence modules
  • Lead Workday Absence and Time Tracking engagements, providing employees with support and configuration fixes as well as recommending best practices
  • Take on various responsibilities and collaborate with teammates on Payroll, HCM, and other module team members
  • Drive and resolve day to day operational tasks and work as the front-line support for users
  • Configure the custom reports based on the complex scenarios from business
  • Work alongside the integration team to test integrations between the Workday solution and the selected payroll and benefits providers
  • Assist in implementation and management of required governance and operational working practices required for the projects
  • Resolve impediments, and partner with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions
  • Drive for results, learn to identify operational improvements, and contribute to a culture of customer service
  • Communicate status, issues, risks, and actions among the teams
  • Ensure tracking to closure of all problems, issues, or risks escalate

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of proven experience in Workday Time tracking and Absence implementation and support skills managing highly visible, large-scale, strategic initiatives preferably in a medical devices company
  • Demonstrated functional experience in Human Resources, Payroll, Absence or Time (Time Tracking, Time Entry, Time & Labor, Time & Attendance).
  • Current certifications in Workday Absence and Time Tracking preferred, but not mandatory
  • Demonstrated deep knowledge of calculated fields and time calculations
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with staff, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams and third parties
  • Agile certification (CSM/PSM, PMI-ACP, SAFe, etc.) and/or PMP Certification
  • Demonstrated experience in successfully managing and delivering on multi-project enterprise efforts for a medium to large-scale corporations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences
  • Experience identifying and resolving complex issues, and assuming leadership roles in unfamiliar or ambiguous circumstances – solid sense of accountability and sound personal judgment
