Position: Retail Recruiter
The Retail Recruiter will be an integral part of the Retail Talent Acquisition Team by supporting hiring in our retail stores. The Recruiter will be responsible for implementing strategies for attracting and engaging talent for retail management and hourly positions at Vans or The North Face retail locations. Each of these brands falls under the VF family; however, each has unique values and needs. The Recruiter will tailor the tools, resources, and processes unique to the brand to drive applicant flow and candidate engagement most effectively. This role manages retail management positions, increases applicant flow for hourly roles, and on occasion manages retail associate recruiting.
How You Will Make a Difference:
Source and screen candidates using unique Brand DNA and VF Guiding Principles as basis for talent selection. Implement and drive use of recruiting strategies, tools, and resources by store managers to attract and engage hourly sales associate positions. Identify new channels and utilize new technology to attract and engage a continual pipeline of candidates Create a candidate experience that highlights the brand and leaves candidates with a positive perspective of the brand, regardless of the outcome Ensure retail managers use consistent processes to evaluate talent in a way that leads to equitable hiring practices Identify candidates that are passionate about the brand and demonstrate brand values in their work each and every day Drive a focus on diverse hiring strategies; adapt corporate initiatives to meet the needs of retail processes and goals. Identify retail-specific opportunities for reaching underrepresented populations and conveying VF’s EVP Attend career fairs and hiring events to create experiences for students/candidates; build brand awareness across target populations Ensure store management teams have the skills needed to effectively assess and identify talent for their stores Build strong relationships with retail leadership to understand most pressing hiring needs and critically understaffed locations Champion the Retail-First initiative to ensure retail associates are aware and have access to corporate openings. Track effectiveness of the program and report back accomplishments to TA leaders
Utilize toolkit for new store openings. Partner with DMs to meet hiring goals prior to opening day Utilize our Employee Value Proposition (EVP) in all communication touch points with candidates Be a contributing member of the talent acquisition team, share ideas and drive innovation and efficiencies in the process
Skills for Success:
Years of Related Professional Experience: 3+ years
Educational/ Position Requirements:
- A combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities
- A drive and passion for retail hiring and finding solutions in a challenging labor market
- Experience with Retail/High Volume recruiting a plus
- Ability to build relationships built on trust; manage a wide range of stakeholders at various levels in the organization
- Knowledge of Workday a plus
$69,984.00 USD – $104,976.00 USD annually
Annual Incentive Eligibility:
This position is eligible to participate in VF’s Annual Incentive Plan. Incentive Plan awards are contingent upon (1) achievement of your individual objectives and (2) VF achieving its’ Corporate and business level financial objectives.
Long Term Incentive Eligibility:
This position is not eligible for long term incentive.
