The Director of FP&A will be responsible for ensuring accuracy and understanding of forecasts and provide variance commentary and analysis. They will partner very closely with business partners to discuss actual performance and projections.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead and drive weekly and monthly meetings with budget owners and manage budget trackers
- Identify gaps in the existing planning & forecasting process, developing solutions to address said gaps, and seeking greater integration and standardization across all teams
- Manage accuracy and effectiveness of existing reporting while also identifying improvement opportunities; identify key takeaways from reports and ensure that those are understood by stakeholders
- Manage, build, enhance enterprise planning models
- Provide support in budget formulation and execution
- Advise senior management on financial and program metrics
- Prepare short and long-term strategy and financial forecasts
- Interact with internal customers to ensure that decisions are properly executed within established Finance guidelines
- Perform variance analysis, trend analysis and financial reviews
- Responsible for the preparation and analysis for month-end, quarter-end and year-end close for assigned functions
- Assist in solving complex technical problems in areas where no precedent exists
- Help determine KPI’s and develop balanced scorecards
- Support planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes
- Build data structure and reporting infrastructure for new lines of business and sales channels
- Support continuous improvement initiatives surrounding data quality and systems capability
- Provide ad hoc analysis
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Detailed understanding of financial budgeting, modeling, and forecasting concepts
- Ability to organize and analyze large datasets
- Experience with planning and analysis software tools (Adaptive Planning or Tableau is a plus)
- Strong critical thinking skills, with an ability to identify trends in financial data and develop creative solutions to address negative trends
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with senior management
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years of related experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field (MBA preferred)
- Advanced skills in Excel
