We are looking for a Business Intelligence Associate Director to join the Wolters Kluwer Business Analytics team.

About the role

In this role you will be a responsible for leading and developing our people analytics agenda globally and deliver data driven solutions across the entire employee lifecycle. By developing and productizing insights, foresights, predictions and solutions. As part of this role you will also responsible for the DataPond and connecting to DataLake(s) in our WK organization. You will interact with senior leaders across HR and the business to develop a holistic approach to answering key questions regarding linking business objectives to the skills, capabilities and people we need.

You will be part of a larger team that spans Talent Analytics, Talent Insights and HR Reporting.

Our ideal candidate has a strong hands-on background in applied statistics or a related quantitative field. We are looking for someone with solid business awareness, who is comfortable with ambiguity and complexity, and has experience working with senior leaders and cross functional teams. You are a self-starter, strategic problem solver, and a humble leader. With demonstrated success in using data science to drive understanding, progression, and decision making for large organizations.

In this role you will

  • Partner with leaders to identify opportunities and build critical data driven solutions and services

  • Be responsible for launching the DataPond and connecting to other DataLakes across the organization

  • Drive impactful analytics insights, build data science solutions, and deliver high-quality outcomes

  • Grow a team of data analysts, scientists and engineers with great technical skills, business and HR awareness, and value fit

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to enable data driven initiatives and make an impact

  • Manage roadmapping, sprint planning, external vendor engagement, and remove blockers when needed

  • Be a great communicator, able to share complex ideas simply, advocate teamwork, and coach data storytelling

  • Be aware and clear of what you know and what you don’t know

On your First Day, we expect you to have:

  • A strong background working in analytics and data science field

  • Hands-on experience with (setting up & managing) DataMarts, DataPonds or DatalLkes

  • Success at working in a globally distributed hybrid team

  • Solid business acumen and critical thinking – when there is complexity and ambiguity, you can identify the right problem to solve

  • Success at building a culture of data-informed decision making, fast learning, and innovation

  • Strong technical background in statistics, measurement, experimentation, modeling, R/Python, data instrumentation

  • Experience with data visualization, like Power BI and Tableau

  • Experience applying advanced (incl predictive) analytics knowledge to the real world

  • Roadmap planning, sprint planning, and project management skills

  • High curiosity for trends and innovations in the field of (people) analytics

It's great, But Not Required, if you have

  • Experience within HR/ people analytics

  • Experience with Workday HR suite

  • Experience with data privacy

  • Consultancy work experience
