About the Team

The Enterprise Change Management team, part of Business Operations, is a growing and impactful team of change management practitioners and thought leaders working to drive companywide transformation initiatives for Workday.

About the Role

If you are passionate about the people side of change and believe that the best experiences are those delivered together as a team, we want to talk to you! This role requires knowledge of all things change management and a desire to coach and guide cross-functional colleagues along the way. You will partner closely with business leads, program managers and other change managers in defining and implementing large, cross-organization transformation programs. These programs include strategic changes impacting organizations, systems, business processes, and job roles.

This highly visible role will have extensive interaction across all levels and functions within Workday. We are looking for a leader who understands the value of structure while balancing the need for agility and innovation. Using change management methodologies, this role will be responsible for change assessments, impacts and gap analysis, communication and training plans, people-centered risk mitigation, and delivering measurable change adoption. The role will also help to design and lead cross-functional change teams on larger programs.

As a change manager you will:

  • Partner with program and business leaders to understand changes and critical dependencies
  • Help form and lead cross-functional change teams for assigned programs
  • Build comprehensive change strategies, plans and supporting materials
  • Identify people-centered risks and issues and develop mitigation plans
  • Drive delivery of change management plans and activities
  • Monitor and report progress to achieve change adoption

About You

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience leading organizational change management for highly visible, large-scale initiatives
  • Broad knowledge of change methodologies and concepts; able to apply them in a fast-paced, fluid environment
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills; able to establish and maintain strong relationships at all levels of the organization 
  • Able to influence and mentor cross-functional teams
  • Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations
  • Tenacious about driving accountability, program success and operational excellence
  • Strong emotional intelligence and empathy for others and their experiences
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Communication, Education/Learning, Organizational Psychology, or a related field
  • Certification or education in Change Management 

Other Qualifications / Nice to Have: 

  • Experience in training/curriculum design, visual design for slides and webpages, and/or video production
  • Software industry experience with an enterprise products company 
  • Strong project management skills
  • Experience with Google Drive applications and Smartsheet
