The Role of a Customer Base Account Executive:

Account Managers at Workday are called Customer Base Account Executives and Inside Sales Consultants, well, they’re known as Inside Sales Consultants. In both roles at Workday, Workmates in these roles help their accounts to continue to make change an opportunity by leveraging Workday’s market leading product offering and building strong revenue growth for yourself, your team and Workday.

Role Outcomes:

For both types of roles, the outcomes we ask is:

  • Revenue – Develop your accounts and beat your quota

  • Customer engagement – You identify opportunities for your customers to further realise the value of their partnership with us

  • Customer success – Their success is your success 

  • Team success – Our success – we are successful together

  • Customer satisfaction – They love how we’ve prepared them for the future and created previously unreleased levels of value

  • Your satisfaction – You want to know you’re adding value in an organisation where your valued by your team and your customers

What are we looking for in a great candidate?

  • You always overachieve. We’re going to want to know your quota attainment numbers as past success is a strong indicator of future success

  • You live by a set of values that align with our own (make sure you look them up). We’re a values based organisation and we firmly believe that exceptionally successful sales professionals can also be great humans.

  • You currently sell net-new solutions to enterprise or large commercial sized organisations

  • You’ll need SaaS/Cloud sales experience. If you have ERP / HCM / Finance and Planning experience, that’s even better
