About the Team

As a member of our diverse and skilled North America Solution Consulting team, you will have the opportunity to communicate and demonstrate the power of Workday’s applications to prospects and customers alike. It is this team’s job to bring the value of Workday solutions to life and showcase how the world of work can be transformed. Along with working closely with our sales counterparts, this team also sits at the exciting intersection of our Product Management, Consulting Services, Marketing, and Value Management teams, providing exposure to various areas of the business.

About the Role

Workday is seeking to hire a Field Innovation Strategist that can sit remotely in the US or Canada.  This is your chance to further enhance and define the Workday story by serving as a liaison and knowledge transfer between GTM Product Strategy, Value Management, and Sales, to identify key business impact value drivers for organizations across Workday's penetrable markets and apply shared knowledge to increase awareness, engagement, and presentation excellence.

In this role you will be a force multiplier within the Solution Consulting organization, focusing on the top sales opportunities for a given quarter or year. You will lead teams of expert Solution Consultants, Value Managers, and Account Executives in ensuring flawless delivery of key presentations, truly making the presentation of product value about them, not about us.

In this innovative and strategic role, you will also:

  • Create a dynamic yet repeatable and measurable program to create consistency in value delivery, messaging, and presentation within the solution consulting organization from Discovery to Debrief.

  • Develop strong customer centric messaging to translate the Workday story and value into the worlds of our Prospects and Customers.

  • Independently learn in order to stay in front of tech trends to continuously align messaging with the direction of business technology innovation.

  • Create industry specific messaging and tactics to support the Financial Services and Insurance market. 

  • Keep up with the latest industry specific trends and integrate the information into your messaging and internal enablement.

  • Engage in prospect interactions, corporate storytelling, and deal support.  

  • Perform field Enablement, act as the product and strategy field liaison, and be engaged as an independent learner and avid, trend focused story-teller.

  • Travel approximately 50% for both internal and customer meetings.

About You

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ Years of SaaS Sales / Solution Consulting experience

  • 2+ Years of knowledge with selling value and delivering to audiences in an engaging way
     

Other Qualifications

  • Willingness to travel up to 50%

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, SaaS sales experience is a plus

  • Experience leading multiple diverse groups of people/thinkers through a high value conversation to get to customer objectives, and sales coaching/presentation coaching experience

  • Familiarity with the Financial Services and Insurance Industry (FSI)

  • Demonstrated skills of creativity and empathy with an audience

  • Experience training / coaching presentation skills

  • Familiar with internal communication tools, primarily Slack & GSuite

  • A self-starter who is equally comfortable working on their own and as part of a robust team

  • Anticipate problems, seeks out solutions proactively, and does not wait for permission to begin

  • Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent experience

Workday Pay Transparency Statement

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below.  Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Recruiters can share more detail during the hiring process. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things.
