About the Team

The New Offer Launch (NOL) team is responsible for commercializing new sources of revenue at Workday, prioritizing and driving accountability for the planned business impact. These sources may include newly developed product and service offers, solutions enabled through partnerships, or expansion of our target markets. The NOL team partners across all Workday business functions to define the business strategy and then drive action to position new businesses to scale. As the volume and complexity of Workday’s product & offering portfolio grows, we are partnering with key business and operations functions, including Finance, Sales, Partners, Marketing, Customer Experience, and Business Technology team to make foundational improvements to our operations to accelerate speed to market and scale new business models.

About the Role

As a New Offer Launch Lead, you will organize and drive a cross-functional team to define the business strategy and bring new offers to market. This is a highly visible role within Workday that requires a high degree of business acumen and an exceptional ability to build cross-functional relationships while driving programmatic execution. As a strategic partner to senior business leaders, it's critical that you possess exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, and are adept at cutting through complexity to shape and drive decisions. While being an expert in all functions is not required, you’ll need to demonstrate confidence, resourcefulness, adaptability, and flexibility to address issues to move a launch forward.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead program(s) from inception/initiation to launch in market, in alignment to stated launch objectives.

  • Develop in-depth understanding of the offer vision, value proposition and roadmap, and work with functional teams to translate strategy into detailed execution plans and where applicable, operational requirements.

  • Structure, prioritize and facilitate strategic and tactical decisions to drive program progress

  • Collaborate to define the GTM readiness approach and delivery mechanisms for each offer, while remaining anchored in business outcomes. 

  • Help define and evangelize the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the offer and clearly communicate the mile markers, deliverables, and interdependencies required to realize that vision.

  • Partner closely with the offer owner in decision making, managing and mitigating risks and resolving critical issues.

  • Support building and improving processes and systems

About You

  • 5+ years of experience in this or relevant domain (Operations Strategy, GTM Strategy, Product Strategy, New Business Launch, New Venture Launch, New Product Introduction etc.)

  • High intellectual curiosity, with passion for problem solving with structured thinking and data, with a bias toward pragmatic solutions

  • Strong presence and interpersonal skills to engage with team, executives, colleagues, cross-functional teams, and third parties to achieve business outcomes

  • Superior organizational skills to manage multiple efforts across multiple collaborators

  • Ability to apply templates and methodologies, while maintaining flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic business environment

  • Experience in similar or adjacent roles within a technology company, ideally in enterprise software

  • Change agent with strong communication skills: proven track record to influence senior and mid-level leaders, communicate effectively & build consensus for change 

  • Strong program/project management skills and prior experience

  • Collaborative decision-making: demonstrated experience defining approaches, processes & forums to support effective decision-making in cross-functional settings

  • Operational excellence: demonstrated experience building and improving team process and methods

  • Values: Ability to thrive in a dynamic, results-oriented work environment and be aligned to Workday culture and values

  • Prior experience with process design and business operations a plus

Workday Pay Transparency Statement

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below.  Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Recruiters can share more detail during the hiring process. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things. Primary Location Base Pay Range: $136,000 USD – $204,000 USD

 

Additional US Location(s) Base Pay Range: $105,800 USD – $204,000 USD
