About the Role
The Program Management Office Executive is accountable for ensuring the successful operation of the Customer Program Management Office during the deployment of the Workday service for some of our largest, strategic, and most complex customers. These companies are typically large, multi-national organizations implementing our HCM/Payroll and Financials solutions. These large programs contain numerous teams with multiple work-streams across phases/waves and are highly dependent on a comprehensive program management structure to ensure success.
A prerequisite for this role is a proven track record of program management for large, cross platform, strategic enterprise-wide programs. The Program Management Office Executive must understand and respect the customer’s organization and culture to ensure an effective governance model is established and must have experience driving alignment across multiple executive stakeholders to establish the Workday deployment goals and guiding principles. This stakeholder alignment continues in the risk analysis across multiple dependent projects throughout the deployment.
The Program Management Office Executive will work closely with Workday delivery to drive a successful deployment and high customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Leverage broad-based industry knowledge and deployment expertise to ensure customer success.
- Establish and execute against a clearly defined governance model and program management framework, including processes for project planning (including dependent project dependencies), status reporting, decision-making frameworks, change requests and risks/issues logs into a program-wide view.
- Partner with workstream project leads to ensure adherence to program standards and governance.
- Enable the customer to manage the overall program by:
- Facilitating the steering committee and other cross-program governance activities.
- Monitoring steering committee engagement and governance effectiveness.
- Producing executive communication, dashboards, scorecards and/or reports. This will require coordination across multiple functions/vendors to gather, analyze, and synthesize information for executive audiences.
- Driving executive decision making.
- Ensuring adherence to change control and other governance processes.
- Identifying dependent projects, their dependencies, and associated risks with the Workday project. This includes working with dependent initiative project managers, and Workday project workstream leads to address conflicts.

Our Approach to Flexible Work
With Flex Work, we’re combining the best of both worlds: in-person time and remote. Our approach enables our teams to deepen connections, maintain a strong community, and do their best work. We know that flexibility can take shape in many ways, so rather than a number of required days in-office each week, we simply spend at least half (50%) of our time each quarter in the office or in the field with our customers, prospects, and partners (depending on role). This means you'll have the freedom to create a flexible schedule that caters to your business, team, and personal needs, while being intentional to make the most of time spent together. Those in our remote "home office" roles also have the opportunity to come together in our offices for important moments that matter.
Pursuant to applicable Fair Chance law, Workday will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
