About the Team
As a member of our diverse and skilled Presales North America team you will have the opportunity to wear lots of hats and be challenged daily. On a typical day, you will be working as part of a talented agile team responsible for conducting discovery calls and product solutioning to help perspective clients transform and streamline their business to its fullest potential. You will be using market data strategic judgment to stay in front of our competitors.

About the Role
Workday is looking for a Senior Solution Consultant with Financial Management & ERP expertise to join our Public Sector team.
Our team demonstrates the value of next generation SaaS Financial Management Applications to Workday prospects and customers. Through interactive pre-sales discovery meetings, and by leveraging deep Accounting skills and complex Enterprise Software product knowledge, Workday Solution Consultants provide Core Accounting expertise, Executive presentations, and Workday Financials product demonstrations, in partnership with our sales team, to customers throughout the sales cycle. Our team works in a highly complex environment that requires curiosity, flexibility, and drive.
The delivery of relevant technical product presentations, demonstrations, workshops, and seminars.
Creates detailed design and implementation specifications for complex products/applications/solutions
To assist in the closure of sales opportunities by demonstrating a complete understanding of and resolving questions regarding our solution, services, and training.
To contribute to the qualification of prospects, proposed demonstration criteria, proof of concept system builds and sales cycle closure plans.
Supporting all sales, marketing, technical and channel objectives.
To assist sales in the response to RFIs
Participate in discovery sessions alongside sales to ask qualifying questions and understand pain points, current business processes, and ideal future state
Uses in-depth ERP-product knowledge to provide technical expertise to sales staff and the customer through sales presentations and product demonstrations
Ability to travel 25% of the time
5+ years in government financial management presales, or as a public sector financials practitioner
3+ years of extensive financial domain expertise
3+ years of business experience with relevant cloud-based financial management applications (e.g. Netsuite, Sage Intacct, Zuora, SAP, Oracle, etc.)
3+ years in a pre-sales, sales consulting AND/OR implementation role
2+ years of core accounting (GL, AR, AP, Budgeting), Grants Management, Procurement, Projects, and Financial Reporting
Degree in Accounting or related field or equivalent work experience
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Previous consulting experience with a consulting/Software company preferred.
Ability to work on multiple challenging and rewarding projects simultaneously
Team oriented with excellent interpersonal/communication skills
Independent self-starter able to work effectively with minimal direction
Experience of valued based selling
Strong presentation skills and the ability to effectively demonstrate our cloud-based Financial Management solution
An understanding of current operations and business needs in public sector

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations in the United States (US) are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location.
