About the Role
This seasoned Principal Product Manager should be well connected in the Japanese market and a subject matter expert in HR practices. They will work closely with Workday’s oCHRO Product Management leadership team, Product Strategy team, and over time with Implementation Services and Sales teams.Â
While partnering with Workday functional and technical product experts, the Principal Product Manager will set priorities and document detailed requirements starting with HR Core, Absence, Benefits, Compensation, Time Tracking and Scheduling. This professional will act as an advisor to our product owners and may participate in feature design work.
About You
Required Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
-
10+ years of experience in the Japanese market
-
5+ years of experience in a Product Management related role or knowing how to translate customer and market needs into product deliverables Â

Deep HCM knowledge and expertise across HR Core, Absence, Benefits, Compensation, Time Tracking, Scheduling

Knowledge of Competitive landscape and other products being used in the Japanese market

Strategic thinking and experience in defining product vision and roadmap

Strategic thinking and strong analytical skills
-
Strong communication skills to interact with team members, management, customers and other stakeholders at Workday

Experience presenting to executive audience
