Our Internal Product Analytics team is crafting the next generation of reporting and analytic tools for all of Workday’s products, enabling them to catalog, mine, and explore their critical business data. We have built our Analytics solution using the most modern technologies, providing an unparalleled level of agility, ease-of-use, and delivery of insights. We are passionate about innovation and not only demonstrate this in our technology and tools, but also in how we work.
Our team is growing, and we’re looking for a Product Manager to join us and support our continued success! You will provide a key function in shaping the success of Workday’s current and future products by working with the business partners and understanding their business needs and translating them into Product Requirements for our team.

About the Role

This role will report to the Senior Manager of Business Insights and work closely with analytics teams, analysts and business leaders across the company. You will work cross functionally to partner with business leaders to understand their data and analytics needs and translate them into product requirements. You will also work with the testing team to ensure delivery of high quality product.

About You

You will be passionate about product ownership and management, a strong communicator, a phenomenal teammate and champion in providing high quality products to our customers. You’ll be able to closely work with fast paced Agile development teams.

Below is an overview of responsibilities for this role:

  • Develop and articulate a product strategy and roadmap to meet the analytics needs.

  • Create Product Requirement Documents and User Stories for the development team to develop in an agile model.

  • Create wireframes for the Analytics dashboards.

  • Manage product roadmap, prioritize, and groom feature and enhancement backlog

  • Work with the development team and testers to validate the final to make them release certified

  • Manage business partner expectations and communications on product feature readiness

  • Package and document product features, create content for enablement and user guides

  • Work closely with the end users to demo the latest features, enhancements, and dashboards.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or master’s degree in relevant fields.

  • 5+ years of Product Management experience.

  • 4+ years of product owner experience or working closely with product manager to translate customer and market needs into product deliverables and release support through the entire product life cycle.

  • Experience working with product engineering teams, agile development and product definition is a must.

  • Analytics and / or data modeling experience is highly desirable.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and ability to engage effectively at all levels of the organization, to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Self-starter with a high degree of motivation to go above and beyond the task at hand. Demonstrated passion for connecting the dots, digging deeper to uncover stories and trends in data, with a keen eye for detail.

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and effectively across different functions.

Other Qualifications:

  • Any certifications in Agile methodologies, such as CSM, SAFe will be a plus.
