About the Team

As the Sales Director for New Business at Workday, you will be directly managing the Net New sales team for the Medium Enterprise segment in Norway and Sweden. In this role you will also be a crucial part of the leadership team in Norway.

About the Role

This incredible opportunity is focused on leading, coaching and mentoring a team of Account Executives selling HCM, Finance and FP&A applications into the medium enterprise market. 

This role is highly visible within the geography and requires demonstration of leadership beyond the immediate span of control.

Responsibilities:

  • You will lead a team of passionate, enthusiastic and a successful people who want to be part of one of the most disruptive cloud companies on the planet

  • You will actively coach, support, and lead a sales team around account coverage, territory management, demand generation and opportunity execution

  • You will be a key sales leader on the team focused on driving new revenue into net new Enterprise prospects.

  • Your teams will manage complex sales cycles through orchestrating internal teams of pre-sales, value management, bid management, inside sales, marketing and sales support.

  • You will implement value-selling processes alongside building up the knowledge of Workday’s products and portfolio

  • You will drive the Workday Culture and cross-group collaboration as a member of the local leadership team

About You

Key Qualifications:

  • You are a self-starter with a stellar sales & leadership track record for SaaS/ cloud transformation solutions selling to C-suite decision makers.

  • Extensive experience in sales leadership, ideally focused on new logo acquisition, preferably experience in ERP or other enterprise business solutions or platform sales.

  • True passion for coaching and delivering results through others in a team selling environment

  • Ability to identify sales strategies to continue to grow new business sales across all industries in Norway and Sweden

  • Proven ability in managing complex sales cycles from start to finish with a track record of successful revenue attainment

  • Ability to maintain accurate and timely customer, pipeline, and forecast data

Other Qualifications

  • Savvy in identifying customer problems and propose comprehensive solutions for their needs.

  • Strong use of insights and data to drive decision making in the sales process.

  • Experience leading a team through sophisticated, strategic, sales cycles by orchestrating internal teams of pre-sales, value management, bid management, inside sales, marketing and sales support

  • True passion for delivering results through others.

  • High level of accountability in a high growth environment.

  • Proficiency across a variety of selling methodologies, with an existing track record of coaching or teaching these skills. 

  • Proven ability in managing complex sales cycles from start to finish with a track record of successful revenue attainment.

  • Experience in managing a geographically distributed team of highly skilled opportunity-creating and business- transformational Account Executives would be a strong preference. 

  • Prior experience in building out Account executive territory Management and Target Account plans preferred.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Norwegian/Swedish
