About the Team

The Privacy team manages Workday’s global privacy program and supports Workmates in the product and technology organizations as they build, deliver, and support offerings for our customers. We work closely with teams across the company to ensure we are handling personal data in ways that are consistent with our contractual commitments, privacy requirements, and core values.

About the Role

Workday’s Privacy Team is looking for a highly motivated individual who is interested in growing a career in privacy. This role will help the team build and maintain a mature privacy program in a fast-paced and rapidly growing environment.

The Senior Associate Program Manager will support all aspects of Workday’s privacy operations, including responding to queries from customers, data subjects, and Workmates, as well as piloting privacy initiatives across the organization. The ideal candidate is a confident self-starter who can prioritize and manage multiple tasks and responsibilities with agility and efficiency.

This position will interact closely with legal teammates and will give you excellent exposure working with other departments across Workday. The right candidate demonstrates integrity, a sense of humor, and the ability to be highly collaborative and results oriented. You must be a creative problem solver with exceptional judgment and strong critical thinking, in addition to a passion for privacy.

About You

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

  • 3+ years of experience in a related area such as Privacy, Information Security, Compliance, Audit or Risk Management

  • Able to use Google Drive, Slack, SmartSheet, Jira, Outlook and other technologies to communicate, manage workload and track projects

  • Interested in privacy and data protection laws and practices

  • Outstanding organizational skills and ability to prioritize and work independently

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team

  • Experience developing, maturing, implementing, or maintaining processes

  • IAPP CIPP Certification

  • Familiar with Cloud Computing and Software as a Service

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-output, team oriented, practical environment

  • Committed to personal growth and development by actively seeking feedback and responding with action

  • Sense of humor

  • Willing to take on new challenges and learn new technologies
