About the Team

Workday’s Financial Services and Insurance (FSI) Industry team’s main purpose is to deliver Workday’s consulting services and build an outstanding customer experience by delivering engaging and innovative consulting services. In addition to bring leading practices to our customers, partners, and employees make the most of the Workday system.

About the Role

The Professional Services Senior Financials Services (FSI) HCM Consultant will be responsible for ensuring the successful implementation of Workday’s HCM, Core Compensation and Advanced Compensation (merit, bonus, stock) solution for our FSI customers and help establish and champion best practices for all FSI deployments. The Senior FSI HCM Consultant will provide Workday product and implementation expertise to their engagements by primarily serving as an advisor/architect to the Workday project team.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Become an expert in the Workday HCM product suite
  • Ability to solution complex periodic merit increases, bonus payment and stock payments using Workday’s Advanced Compensation Functionality.
  • Provide FSI industry perspective for customer business requirements
  • Understand Workdays’ Implementation Methodology and use it on all engagements
  • Perform the following on an engagement: understand client business requirements, configure the Workday solution, demonstrate the configurations through the development of prototype systems, assist the client in testing the Workday solution
  • Work with Delivery Assurance to ensure compliance with agreed to checkpoints
  • Serve as a mentor new HCM Consultants
  • Assist the Sales team when required, by providing deployment insights to prospective customers
  • Ensure the client takes advantage of Workday FSI best practices
  • Ensure the client is referenceable once the client is in production
  • Participate in update training and other events that help share one’s product skills with other consultants
  • Provide the Engagement Manager with status reports and keep them apprised of overall project status

About You

Basic Qualifications:

  • Prior FSI Industry implementation or experience required.
  • 3+ years implementing HCM solutions
  • 2+ years implementing foundational compensation including compensation structure, pay ranges, allowances, differential payments and one-time payments
  • 2+ years implementing solutions to award merit increases, bonus payments and stock awards.

Other Qualifications:

  • Ability to learn technology quickly through instruction and self-training
  • Experience mentoring others
  • Previous consulting experience either as an internal consultant or with a consulting/software company
  • Experience implementing Workday, SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, Ultimate Software, ADP, Ceridian or similar applications
  • Bachelor’s degree required or relevant experience
  • Passion for customer service
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Business analysis and requirements gathering abilities
  • Ability to learn technology quickly through instruction and self-training.
  • Experience with multiple HCM, payroll and/or financial applications a plus
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
