Our Presales team is a strategic partner to the sales organization and responsible for building a compelling vision of the Workday solution for our customers and prospects in some of the largest organizations in the world. We help our customers to best manage their human capital and financial data and processes. We do this by collaborating to identify customer goals and challenges, and then propose and demonstrate solutions that apply Workday’s Enterprise Management Cloud and related solutions. We are strategic advisors to CIOs and CTOs, in support of their broader missions to empower HR and Finance leaders. About the Role

This is your chance to engage in strategic conversations and demonstrate the value of next-generation cloud-based Workday solutions to mid-sized organizations in the United States. You will partner with our Sales organization as well as Presales Solution Consultants to sell Enterprise Management software to new and existing customers. We focus on how Workday acts as a key enabler of change within a customer's environment, allowing IT leaders to support the needs of their business stakeholders.

You will use presentations, demonstrations, workshops and seminars as tools to help you produce solutions that combine Workday's applications and platform, as well as third-party technology, to drive improved business outcomes for your customers. Along the way, you will become a trusted advisor to your clients and to your sales peers. At Workday, we 're all about helping our colleagues grow, so you'll teach others how to learn from your successes. Your input will be essential to helping our technology evolve over time.

About You

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of enterprise software Presales or value-based selling experience; or 5+ years of working with enterprise business applications in a corporate IT setting

  • Technical knowledge of common Cloud architectures, security, reporting and/or integration standards

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience

  • Ability to travel as necessary, possibly up to 50%

Other Qualifications:

  • Existing knowledge of Workday application architecture is beneficial

  • Working knowledge of information security frameworks, security standards and guidelines

  • Knowledge of security certifications and audits (ISO 27001, ISO 27018, SOC-1, SOC-2 etc.) preferred

  • Knowledge of hyper-scaler cloud architectures (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc…) preferred

  • Experience with data integration, business intelligence, and/or analytics tools

  • Familiarity with Web service integration standards such as WSDL, SOAP, UDDI and JSON

  • Software as a Service work experience and/or knowledge of the delivery model and associated characteristics preferred

  • Experience with value selling paradigm is a plus

  • Experience presenting to both technical and non-technical audiences

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations in the United States (US) are listed below.  Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants.
