About the Team

The EMEA PMO team is dedicated to transform the way Marketing works by orchestrating streamlined marketing campaigns and programs execution experiences; and optimising operational processes to efficiently build awareness and generate qualified demand for our products. We focus on operational efficiency, business impact, and enablement.

About the Role

We are hiring an experienced people leader to join Workday. Reporting to the Senior Director of Marketing Operations, you will lead a highly skilled team of Marketing Project Managers in charge of planning and managing the execution of marketing campaigns and programs. To succeed in this role, you have the ability to interact with individuals at all levels, nurture a collaborative and trusted environment within the team, and optimally handle multiple priorities while providing leadership to the team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead, mentor, and encourage your team to strengthen their proficiencies and skills to meet their career objectives.

  • Coach direct reports on project planning and execution, issues mitigation, and conflict management/resolution. 

  • Oversee the planning, the execution of the marketing campaign ensuring project workload is dispersed amongst the team and monitor progress

  • Ensure overall project/program quality, conduct post-mortem review and look for ways to streamline the process and increase overall efficiency

  • Build strong relationship with the EMEA Marketing team, the Global PMO and maintain communication with cross-functional peers to ensure inter-departmental alignment for business transformation initiatives

  • Initiate and lead process improvement initiatives, knowledge sharing sessions, process workflow documentation, and other projects as needed

  • Help continually refine our current global project management framework, including tools and processes in partnership with the PMO and several cross-functional teams 

  • Proactively raise issues and address them through risk management, contingency planning and facilitate resolution while ensuring effective implementation

About You

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience Leading a team of Senior Marketing Project Managers

  • Validated leadership of Marketing PMO

  • 7+ years in Marketing in B2B multi-region environment

  • PMP, Prince 2 or other relevant project management certification

  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Workfront, Google docs, Smartsheet, Asana, MS Project, etc.)

  • Validated experience working on large, complex cross-functional marketing campaigns with several stakeholder groups

Other Qualifications:

  • Demonstrating a strong proficiency in analysing issues, problem-solving, and proposing solutions

  • Outstanding – verbal, written, and presentation – communications skill to influence 

  • Strong diplomacy skills and a high degree of emotional intelligence are strong attributes for this position

  • Capable of embracing change; maintaining an open mind as well as being flexible in the face of ambiguity.
