About the Team

Our Product Strategy team is growing, and we are seeking a Product Strategist for the Insurance Industry.

Our team of Product Strategists use formal requirement elicitation methods, such as quantitative research of markets and working with design partners and executive advisory councils, as well as less formal means of being involved in the market with sales and partners, to drive the market analysis and requirements definition, and craft the case for investments to guide Workday to the next frontier of growth.

About the Role

This role will be covering the Insurance Industry, including Health, Life, Property, Casualty and other segments, with a strong focus on office of the CFO transformations. We are looking for a very hands-on individual that enjoys working in a fast-paced, and highly collaborative environment.

This is a very hands-on and dynamic position where you will

  • Define and communicate the strategic direction of Workday’s industry initiatives for Insurance and go to market strategies to the marketplace and internal team members.

  • Collaborate with product management and pillar product strategists to craft the product roadmap and priorities.

  • Identify, evaluate, and plan integration efforts with third party vendors to deliver a complete industry solution for customers.

  • Research, build and champion cases for new investment areas.

  • Engage with customers frequently and intently to be the customer advocate within Workday product organizations to drive the next areas of priorities for growth.

  • Respond to the dynamics of the marketplace by looking ahead with alternate options to our strategy.

  • Act as industry authority to the broader organization, including sales, operate industry-specific customer advisory councils, and support analyst relations.

About You

Open to fill this role at Senior or Principal Level.

Basic Qualifications Sr Product Strategist

  • 7 years of Product Strategy experience or equivalent relevant roles.
  • Deep knowledge of enterprise software solutions, especially those targeting the office of the CFO.
  • High analytical abilities, including research experience with market analysis, emerging technology forecasting and case development.
  • Experience with Industry GTM and product models
  • 30% travel is required for this role.

Basic Qualifications Principal Product Strategist

  • 10 years of Product Strategy experience or equivalent relevant roles.
  • Deep knowledge of enterprise software solutions, especially those targeting the office of the CFO.
  • High analytical abilities, including research experience with market analysis, emerging technology forecasting and case development.
  • Experience with Industry GTM and product models
  • 30% travel is required for this role.

Other Qualifications

  • Clear understanding of the business needs and priorities for enterprise software products targeting the Insurance industry
  • Ability to influence others using data and other evidence-based persuasive tools.
  • Articulate and strong presenter and content creator
  • Open minded change agent who drives continuous improvement
  • Ability to use data driven analysis to drive both opportunity analysis and prioritization.
  • Strategy consultant experience at one of the big consulting firms a plus
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in technical, business, or equivalent; MBA a plus

Workday Pay Transparency Statement

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below.  Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things. Primary Location Base Pay Range: $140,800 USD – $211,300 USD

 

Additional US Location(s) Base Pay Range: $133,800 USD – $239,700 USD
