Our Talent Optimization and Skills Product Management team is growing, and we are looking for an experienced Product leader to guide global teams of passionate PMs across our portfolio of Talent products. We are crafting the next generation of performance and growth tools for global Talent teams, enabling them to understand and improve their workforce. We build our Talent solutions using modern technologies, providing an unparalleled level of agility, ease-of-use, and delivery of insights. About the Role

This role has Product leadership responsibility for the Talent Optimization and Skills products, which includes influencing the strategy, defining the roadmap, and planning and driving its execution. We are looking for someone who is passionate about building Talent Optimization experiences that help businesses fully leverage their talent while empowering workers to drive their own career paths.

This position is based in our Pleasanton, CA headquarters.  This is a unique opportunity to be part of an innovative and fun team that loves building the next generation of Talent Optimization experiences for our customers.

In this role, you will:

  • Empower others: Foster the growth of an inclusive, high-performing team and promote a culture that encourages individual decision-making and innovation.

  • Own the Product Lifecycle: Influence and drive vision for the Talent Optimization products using domain expertise, internal and external best practices, market research, Workday’s company strategy, and customer insight. Transform strategy into roadmap and drive design and capability delivery on highest impact areas for customers to execute on their talent optimization strategies. Work with Engineering to manage the release process and tightly integrate and balance functionality and feasibility.

  • Cross-functional collaboration:  Collaborate with internal cross-functional product partners to deliver persona focused solutions that transform the performance and talent lifecycle.

  • Be a customer advocate: Foster innovation in the customer experience by combining functional and operational knowledge in the Talent Optimization domains. Engage customers and users to determine business requirements, technical considerations and strategic objectives, as well as provide recommendations based on your industry and product experience.

  • Be a product evangelist: Collaborate and communicate across the Workday eco-system including Sales, Marketing, Services and other Product teams to promote your products both internally and externally as well as ensure a cohesive message. Build trust through transparency and collaboration.

About You

Basic Qualifications

  • 10+ years Product Management or Product Management adjacent experience

  • 5+ years experience leading teams of 5+ people

  • 1+ year in a Director level role or equivalent

  • Deep knowledge of corporate Talent Optimization domain or HCM

  • Experience building SaaS solutions

  • BS / BA degree

  • Experience with Workday is highly desired

  • Experience supporting global teams in different time zones

  • Show passion for building great products and solving complex customer and business problems

  • Think big picture but is not afraid to roll up their sleeves

  • Communicate clearly and be comfortable influencing others, leading teams and managing key relationships

  • Rigorously analyze, prioritize, and negotiate to deliver enhancements

  • Embody the agile philosophy, with a test and learn mentality and an iterative way of working to improve your team’s products

Workday Pay Transparency Statement – United States 

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations in the United States (US) are listed below.  Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Recruiters can share more detail during the hiring process. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things. Primary Location Base Pay Range: $243,200 – $364,800

 

Additional US Location(s) Base Pay Range: $212,000 – $364,800
