About the Role

As a Sr Outbound Product Manager, you will be driving mobile adoption and growth programs for the Workday mobile app. To do this, you achieve the following: deeply understanding the customer and what makes their experience with Workday successful, understanding end user pain points and opportunities, along with evaluating mobile app market trends. You steer go-to-market strategies for both internal and external partners. You’ll also keep the pulse on our competitors, particularly as it pertains to frontline worker retention and growth. As a team, we act as a voice of the customer and end user within our product team. Our ideal candidate brings both product and marketing lead experience and a keen ability to advocate for improving the Workday mobile app.

Responsibilities

  • Support the product vision, strategy, and roadmap by clearly connecting strategy to customer and user value, and business results.

  • Partner closely with our product team and enterprise customer success teams to provide key inputs to strategy and growth such as market trends, customer insights, and mobile positioning

  • Highly engaged when interacting with customers, capturing product feedback and generating actionable insights 

  • Support go-to-market strategies and marketing programs for new product launches. Support the process from conception through launch. Define clear value propositions of new capabilities.

  • Inspire and motivate internal teams and external audiences with the value of mobile

  • Build compelling thought leadership pieces and marketing materials to drive adoption and engagement

  • Take ownership of projects and programs and be able to execute them with minimal direction

  • Be the Voice of the Customer during product sessions

  • Drive product requirements and development for features that drive adoption and engagement

  • Analyze data to establish, monitor, and measure success metrics

  • Communicate effectively and work well with complex multi-disciplinary teams; work collaboratively across all functions of the organization to ensure successful product development and launch

About You

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of proven product management experience

  • Experience with enterprise software or mobile app go-to-market product strategies

  • Experience working cross functionally with product, design, product marketing, research and customer success 

  • Experience partnering well with internal and external stakeholders to create and deploy product, marketing, sales, research, and delivery strategies

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Comfortable working between high technical and non technical teams 
  • Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced team, including technical areas
  • Ability to handle interpersonal relationships judiciously and professionally
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including comfort with communication with senior leadership
  • Team-player with eagerness to dig into the details
  • Ability to think about problems from different perspectives and leverage data driven analysis to advocate roadmap development and prioritization
  • Technical understanding of mobile operating systems (iOS, Android)
  • Prior knowledge and experience in successfully delivering mobile apps is a plus
  • Bachelor degree is nice to have.

Workday Pay Transparency Statement 

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below.  Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Recruiters can share more detail during the hiring process. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things.
