About the Team

Our Presales team is a strategic partner to the sales organization and responsible for building a compelling vision of the Workday solution for our customers from some of the largest organizations in the world. We take our culture as a key foundation of the way we work together and how we hold each other accountable.

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Presales Manager to lead a team of Presales Solution Consultants/Solution Strategists in support of our Majors Customers and Key Accounts. You and your team will work closely with Account Executives and Sales Leadership in supporting Workday’s largest and most strategic customers. You will also work closely with the extended team that supports our customers to develop, implement and maintain best practices as well as an industry leading customer experience to ensure our customers are realizing the full value of Workday. Keeping up with industry trends, emerging technologies and innovation are vital to this team’s success.

In addition to customer engagement, you will be responsible for hiring and retaining top talent. You will assist your team in growing their careers as well as coaching them on the execution needed in their role.

Together, we will ensure the continual advancement of each team member in both skills and knowledge, enabling them to guide Workday's customers to outstanding business outcomes. This role is essential to Workday's long-term success.

When health and safety permits, you are comfortable traveling up to 50% of the time when necessary.

About You

 Basic Qualifications:

  • 8+ years in a sales-related role (sales, presales, value management, customer success, etc.) selling enterprise software

  • 4+ years of experience leading people on sales opportunity strategy and support of customer engagements

Other Qualifications:

  • Experience with Enterprise software in the HCM and Financial space

  • Experience working with large, global customers

  • Proven track record of successful partnership with sales

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Experience in a fast-paced work environment

  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills

  • A track record of hiring and retaining innovative employees

  • Consistent achievement or overachievement of assigned goals and targets

  • Ability to work under pressure, on multiple projects, and supporting multiple sales teams

  • Success in coaching coworkers in ways that allowed them to learn new skills and achieve career goals

  • Collaborative with those in other roles to work towards shared goals

  • A history of using data to support your decision-making process

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations in the United States (US) are listed below.  Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants.
