About the Team

As a member of our diverse and skilled Presales North America team you will have the opportunity to wear lots of hats and be challenged daily. On a typical day, you will be working as part of a hardworking agile team responsible for conducting discovery calls and product solutioning to help perspective clients transform and streamline their business to its fullest potential, using market data strategic judgment to stay in front of our competitors.

About the Role

At Workday, Solution Consultants are responsible for partnering with the sales teams and delivering product demonstrations to business users including the offices of the CHRO, CIO, and CFO to highlight the value of Workday's platform as a true business decision making solution.

In this role, you will improve your polished presentation abilities, collaborative presales experience, and your Planning and Analytics expertise to articulate and differentiate the value for, and expand the adoption of Software as a Service (SaaS).

Responsibilities include:

  • The delivery of relevant technical product presentations, demonstrations, workshops, and seminars.

  • To assist in the closure of sales opportunities by demonstrating a complete understanding of and resolving questions regarding our solution, services, and training.

  • To contribute to the qualification of prospects, proposed demonstration criteria, proof of concept system builds and sales cycle closure plans.

  • Supporting all sales, marketing, technical and channel objectives.

  • To assist sales in the response to RFIs and RFPs.

  • Ability to travel 50%.

About You

Basic Qualifications – Sr. Presales Solution Consultant

  • 5+ years of extensive financial domain expertise

  • 5+ of business experience with relevant cloud-based financial management applications (e.g., NetSuite, Microsoft, SAP, Oracle, etc.

  • 5+ years in a pre-sales, sales consulting AND/OR implementation role

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, AND/OR equivalent work experience

  • 3+ years working with core accounting concepts (GL, AR, AP, Fixed Assets and Cash Management), as well as industry relevant topics such as billing, revenue recognition, content accounting (e.g., ASC605/606, ASC 920/926)

Basic Qualifications – Principal Presales Solution Consultant

  • 6+ years of extensive financial domain expertise

  • 6+ of business experience with relevant cloud-based financial management applications (e.g., NetSuite, Microsoft, SAP, Oracle, etc.

  • 6+ years in a pre-sales, sales consulting AND/OR implementation role

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, AND/OR equivalent work experience

  • 5+ years working with core accounting concepts (GL, AR, AP, Fixed Assets and Cash Management), as well as industry relevant topics such as billing, revenue recognition, content accounting (e.g., ASC605/606, ASC 920/926)

Other Qualifications:

  • Ability to work under pressure and work on multiple projects individually as well as working cross-functionally

  • Exceptional and dynamic presentation & communication skills

  • Experience with value-based selling

  • Outstanding professional discovery, presentation, communication, and influencing skills to C-Level Executives, talking to and selling to the office of the CFO specifically.

  • Experience presenting cloud-based solutions to both functional and technical audiences

  • Experience in financial management within Tech & Media

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Workday Pay Transparency Statement

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below.  Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things.
