Our Workforce & Payroll business unit is seeking to hire a Payroll Product Operations Senior Manager. This role is instrumental in driving efficient, impactful business operations across Payroll Product Management.

The role will report directly to the Director of Business Operations with a dotted line into the VP of Payroll Product Management.

About the Role

Leadership Advisory

  • Acts as a strategic advisor to VP Product Management and Director of Business Operations on operating improvements for Payroll Product Management

  • Runs staff meetings for Payroll Product Management leadership team and extended organization

  • Fosters cohesion and connectedness across the leadership team

Product Management Empowerment

  • Develops and delivers training programs to skill Product Management organization

  • Keeps Product Management informed of release management processes and leads organization to navigate process changes

  • Equips Product Management to align roadmaps to strategy by managing and advising on the release scoping process

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Works hand-in-hand with Development Operations to drive alignment across Product Management and Development teams regarding product builds, employee engagement, and ad-hoc projects

  • Collaborates with peer Product Operation Managers to promote and deliver consistent processes across the Workforce & Payroll business unit as well as the broader Product & Technology organization

  • Leads Payroll Product Management in identifying and gaining consensus with peer organizations to deliver interdependent features

Project Management

  • Proactively identifies and acts upon new process improvement projects

  • Analyzes and raises off-track product builds for leadership to take corrective action

  • Leads Payroll Product Management in fulfilling regular operating requests, such as Product Market Fit analyses

About You

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8+ years program or project management experience

  • 8+ years working with Product Management organizations

  • 8+ years working at an enterprise software or SaaS organization.

Other Qualifications:

  • Experience working with Workday Product Management preferred

  • Develops effective presentations to communicate with collaborators and to help expedite important decisions

  • Proactively translates complex project scope into sensible project plans by collaborating with cross-functional leads and aligning on priorities

  • Facilitates conversations that enable important project decisions to be made; keeps executive members updated and raises issues as required

  • Builds and manages strategic relationships

Project Management

  • Prioritizes own work and effectively manages several simultaneous projects with varying objectives, schedules and deadlines

  • Typically handles day-to-day work and new assignments with little direction or supervision

  • Proactively addresses issues by working with partners to negotiate win-win agreements with influence and diplomacy

Workday Pay Transparency Statement

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below.  Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Primary Location Base Pay Range: $150,400 USD – $225,600 USD

 

Additional US Location(s) Base Pay Range: $133,800 USD – $225,600 USD
