About the Role

If you're curious, an outstanding storyteller, and know how to drive technological innovation in a sophisticated and constantly evolving problem space, you will love this job. This could be a Technical PM or Senior Technical PM.

As Product Manager for our Compute organization, you will drive new levels of performance and scalability for Workday by helping to reimagine our core data and processing platform.

Above all, we need a Product Manager who knows how to deliver continual value to a business, making thoughtful tradeoffs and taking calculated risks. Experience with distributed systems and framework development is a big plus!

About You

Basic Qualifications — Technical Product Manager

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other technical degree required or at least 3 years of proven experience at a software company in product management or a similar role

Basic Qualifications — Senior Technical Product Manager

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other technical degree required or at least 5 years of proven experience at a software company in product management or a similar role

Other Qualifications

  • Owns the product backlog and contributes to the product roadmap. Defines or contributes to the product strategy
  • Ability to work across multiple stakeholders and drive product success 
  • Knowledge of how distributed systems work with their various architectural components is a big plus
  • Systems thinking and how changes in one part of a technical ecosystem can impact many parts of the ecosystem
  • Always bring data-informed arguments to the forefront
  • Can get software developers to enthusiastically build on top of your product
  • Deeply cares about your own products and evangelize it across organizations generating excitement about the product's potential
  • Flexible and adaptable to adapt to change
  • Can design scalable, reliable, business-critical systems for large customers
  • Experience with enterprise SaaS, in-memory object graph systems, cloud architecture, and automation technologies

Workday Pay Transparency Statement – United States 

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations in the United States (US) are listed below.  Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things. Primary Location Base Pay Range: $130,500 – $196,000

 

Additional US Location(s) Base Pay Range: $106,700 – $196,000
