About the Team
We are a diverse and multi-layered research team, responsible for applying insights to influence design, product, and strategic business decisions. We’re passionate about crafting an outstanding research organization at Workday, known for delivering high quality, timely insights that help the product team deliver solutions that support millions of employees around the world.
Our researchers are people from non-traditional research and design backgrounds, as well people from academia. Our five UX researchers are collaborating partners of the product teams and conduct research to bring insights to the teams that help them prioritize in planning.
Our product team is organized by personas and we work in an agile product development cycle with a “product trifecta”; a product manager, a product designer, and a tech lead. We are in the midst of modernizing research to share research responsibilities with the product trifectas.
About the Role
As a UX Research Program Manager at Workday Peakon you work closely together with the UX research team of five researchers and our product trifectas.
Our ideal candidate thrives as being “the spider of the web”; a social expert and solution-oriented person, who can identify and implement new processes. It’s someone who enjoys crafting and communicating overviews of our research tools and processes, as well as improving them together with the team. You’re capable of streamlining our tools, introducing, and implementing templates for research recruiting.
You can comfortably lead all involved team members, being both an active listener and someone who can turn insights into action, e.g. identify a need for another tool or upgrade one of our process steps.
You will be leading the research operations for the Workday Peakon product, across eight product teams, and enable research projects through simplified screening, recruitment, panel management and incentives that make sense according to our needs.
Your background can vary between UX research, marketing, customer service, or similar, but you’ve shifted into a UX research operations role and have led UX research operations initiatives prior to this job.
Areas of responsibility include:
-
Build strong cross-functional relationships
-
Drive initiative to improve and lead our research panel
-
Lead recruitment and scheduling: templates, screeners, reminders, incentives
-
Lead cross-functional sessions with research and product trifectas to upskill the team around research participation and to empower them in getting the most out of our research panel

Our Approach to Flexible Work
With Flex Work, we’re combining the best of both worlds: in-person time and remote. Our approach enables our teams to deepen connections, maintain a strong community, and do their best work. We know that flexibility can take shape in many ways, so rather than a number of required days in-office each week, we simply spend at least half (50%) of our time each quarter in the office or in the field with our customers, prospects, and partners (depending on role). This means you'll have the freedom to create a flexible schedule that caters to your business, team, and personal needs, while being intentional to make the most of time spent together. Those in our remote "home office" roles also have the opportunity to come together in our offices for important moments that matter.
