The evolution of our platform is required for our scale, and we are searching for an experienced software developer to join our rapidly growing engineering team. 

The day to day:

  • Build automated, scalable services and systems to power WP Engine’s growing infrastructure.

  • Collaborate with an agile team that utilizes emerging technologies and delivers high quality and timely code.

  • Deploy monitoring and alerting systems to aid engineering and support efforts.

  • Dive into specific technology roadblocks and uncover how the company can make its platform more performant, resilient, and reliable.

  • Work with Kubernetes solutions across various cloud providers such as Azure, AWS (Amazon Web Services), and GCP (Google Cloud Platform).

  • Build and maintain APls (Application Programming Interfaces) to aid in the management of the production environment.

  • Produce quality, testable, and maintainable systems with fast feedback loops.

  • Build and enhance infrastructure for serving WordPress on thousands of servers.

  • Iteratively improve observability for globally distributed systems via metrics, monitoring, and alerting.

  • Develop Cl (Continuous lntegration)/CD (Continuous Delivery) pipelines for pushing code into production.

Minimum Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.

  • Three (3) years of software engineering experience.

  • The three years of software engineer experience must include developing public cloud infrastructure and building automation utilizing their APls; production with containerization technologies (like Kubernetes); using multiple languages (like Python, Java, and C#); and designing and developing systems using Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services.
