JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Associate Vice President for Strategic Initiatives, the Enrollment Data Analyst will provide support for undergraduate and graduate enrollment. They will analyze internal and external data to support more effective recruitment and retention of students at all levels. The Enrollment Data Analyst will work as part of the University Analytics team, focused on providing decision support for university goals and operations. They will develop subject matter knowledge to solve complex data analysis issues, discover data integrity issues, identify solutions and recommend process enhancements.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Departments across campus focused on student enrollment/retention and business operations to use data analytics to improve business knowledge for decision making in their respective areas.

  • Work with departments to transform data into actionable knowledge through statistical analysis, data visualization, report development, and benchmarking.

  • Responsible for collecting, integrating, analyzing, and reporting on admission, enrollment, financial aid, and student success data.

  • Create interactive data visualizations on trends and key performance metrics related to admissions, enrollment, institutional aid, tuition revenue and student success.

  • Utilize additional software and programming tools (such as SQL, Excel, Salesforce, Slate, Tableau, Workday Report Writer) for the generation of dashboards and reports to support the work of the university.

  • Ensure high level of accuracy and precision in data reporting and data integrity.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • High level knowledge of FERPA and other relevant regulations concerning student and university records management.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of constituencies, including staff, faculty, administrators, students and parents, on a wide range of issues; interactions require discretion, diplomacy, judgment and maturity.

  • Ability to join data from various databases and systems into workable data sets

  • Solid project management experience, including time management and organizational skills.

  • Excellent communication skills (both oral and written); must be able to communicate to both technical and business audiences.

  • Ability to work as part of a team with shifting roles and responsibilities.

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work for maximum efficiency.

  • Experience building data dashboards in Tableau

  • Experience with integration tools such as SnapLogic, Axiom, and Informatica.

  • SQL programming skills.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Demonstrated database management experience.

  • Experience with Workday, Slate, Salesforce, and other CRM and data visualization platforms
