Job Description Summary

The Workforce Planning & Operations Analyst is responsible for supporting the leadership of Wycliffe with data for workforce planning as well as operational project and process facilitation. This role works with a team of collaborative workforce specialists to understand the workforce needs within the global Bible translation movement and equip our teams with the data support needed. This is a split position that does both workforce planning analysis and operational support and project management.

This includes business and technical analysis, quality assurance and documentation, and providing training support to ensure quality standards and consistency is met throughout Global Workforce Strategies and People & Culture. The Operations Business Analyst assists the director in creating the conditions for, promoting, and ensuring operational excellence and continual improvement across People & Culture and Global Workforce Strategies to strengthen Wycliffe USA’s contributions to the work of Bible translation worldwide.

Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

 

Workforce Planning Analyst:

  • Support global workforce forecasting and optimization through data analysis and proactively determining long and short-term staffing needs and effectively communicating upcoming trends.

  • Partner with leadership team to develop accurate and actionable views, dashboards, metrics and forecasts. 

  • Perform analysis of findings/trends using statistical analysis, modeling, as well as surveys and interviews.

  • Prepare reports to help influence key stakeholders to improve planning efficiency and accuracy.

  • Provide operational support for workforce planning efforts.

Operations Support:

  • Assists the director in project management of projects throughout Global Workforce Strategies and the collaborating partners.

  • Assists in the progression and moderation of operating policies, guidelines, and systems to set standards and best practices with an eye on continuous improvement towards greater effectiveness and efficiency. 

  • Identifies and assists in finding creative solutions to related process issues, and in collaboration with other Wycliffe departments, ensuring these adhere to the department and organization’s policies, objectives, and strategies. 

  • Analyzes and evaluates data and reports, feeds back the findings to relevant stakeholders, and advises on changes and improvements. Watches for trends that indicate potential problems and then makes recommendations to mitigate problems. 

  • Works with People & Culture operations liaisons and TechOps team on deployment of new process and system functionality. 

  • Manages and leads operations projects, and develops and implements test plans to ensure successful delivery of a project.

  • Maintains an adequate and concise flow of information within Global Workforce Strategies and with related departments through operations liaisons.

Other Requirements: 

  • Must have a strong reliable internet and phone connection. 

  • Ability and willingness to alter work schedule in order to work evenings or on weekends as required by the position. 

  • Occassional travel may be requested.

  • Spiritual Bona Fide Occupational Qualification (BFOQ): Demonstrates desire and ability to support corporate Biblical and religious goals and participate in regular work related spiritual activities without mental reservation.

  • Technical Skills: Strong computer skills, including Google Suite, Microsoft Office (specifically Excel), Tableau, strong understanding of Workday and Salesforce business processes and features, and business analysis skills. Superuser knowledge of the HCM and CRM system (Workday and Salesforce). 

  • Makes decisions and problem solves autonomously, in accordance with team vision and goals, yet remains open to input and suggestions from team members.

  • Synthesizes complex or diverse information, collects and researches data, uses intuition and experience to complement data, designs workflows and procedures with accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner, gathers and analyzes skillfully, develops alternative solutions to enhance models and processes, works well in group problem solving situations, and uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics.

  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities while prioritizing and meeting deadlines.

  • Working knowledge of HR best practices.

  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment where priorities can change quickly.

  • Ability to manage competing priorities and be detail oriented.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field plus three years of experience in metrics reporting and analysis, operations, HR systems, and/or human resources; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

  • Experience in workforce planning, analytics, and/or forecasting preferred.

  • Systems improvement, testing, reporting, and dashboard/metrics distribution and analysis preferred. Experience with Workday and Salesforce is strongly preferred. 

  • Nonprofit ministry experience is also beneficial.

  • Minimum starting pay for this position is $21/hr. but may be higher based on education, experience and skills.
