Ziegler CAT has an opening for a Safety Analyst to join the Operational Excellence team at Ziegler! This person must have a passion for safety and taking care of employees. In order to be successful strong attention to detail, organization, and follow through will be skills needed for the position.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide compliance information to 3rd party vetting companies
    • ISN Network
    • Avetta
    • 1st verify
  • Provide analyses on customer contracts requiring safety compliance and data
    • Injury data
    • Written programs
    • Training documentation
    • Provide pandemic and medical compliance.
  • Create and develop marketing materials
    • Monthly safety news letter
    • Create Safety alerts as warranted
    • Create near miss collections
    • Perform data entry for: 1st report of injury, Property damage loss, Motor vehicle incidents
  • Provide ongoing support to all of the branch safety teams
    • Organize and facilitate regular meetings
    • Monitor and respond to the discussion form
    • Create and share best practice documentation
    • Create ongoing training plans for the teams and work
  • Manage the Environmental Health and Safety System
    • Create dashboards as needed
    • Enter, pull, or analyze safety data to support leadership asks
    • Provide technical support to users as requested
    • Analyze safety data to provide safety trends to the Operational Excellence Team
  • Oversee safety policy communications
    • Work with the Operational Excellence Team and the Safety Teams to ensure that all safety policies are up to date
    • Update safety policies in all of the relevant systems, ensuring all available policies are updated
    • Create and execute a plan for sharing safety policies company-wide
  •  Support safety training needs
    • Collect feedback from users on training quality and relevancy
    • Review new and existing safety courses for quality and relevancy
    • Monitor training attendance in Workday Learning
    • Analyze training reports to make recommendations and enforce training compliance
    • Collaborate with the technical training team to create new training content that meets the needs of the end users
  • Assist Operational Excellence Team in projects as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree with safety focus strongly preferred
  • 4+ years of related experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, communication (written and oral) skills required
  • Clear driving record
  • Proficient in MS Office, comfortability with learning different computer programs

Travel:

Up to 25%
